1977年4月1日テキサス州はダラスのダラス・メモリアム・オーディトリウム公演を皮切りに，8月13日ペンシルベニア州フィラデルフィアのジョン・F・ケネディ・スタジアム公演までの予定で北米ツアーを開始（1st レグ：4月1日～30日，2nd レグ：5月18日～6月27日，3rd レグ：7月17日～8月13日）した レッド・ツェッペリン（Led Zeppelin）ですが，ロバート・プラント（Robert Plant）の長男（：カラック）のウィルス性感染症による死亡（7月26日）に伴い，7月17日ワシントン州シアトルのキングドーム公演から開始された 3rd レグ序盤の 7月24日カリフォルニア州オークランドのオークランド・アラバマ・カウンティ・コロシアム公演を最後に 51公演に及ぶ北米ツアーを 7公演を残して打ち切ります．
