このような行為を議会でおこなうことは礼を失したものであるという批判に対して、現実を無視したリアリティ番組のbackdropとしてやったのだとペロシは主張。

 

backdropは背景幕、ということで、いいたいこととしては「こんなの茶番なんだからその演出だ」、ということでしょうか。

死後の生(life after death)というミイラ化(mummified)した古代エジプト人の夢を科学者が叶えた(fulfil)、声を再現する(replicate)することによって、という話。

 Xi(習近平)国家主席（President of the People's Republic of China）が、Politburo(政治局)をconvene(招集する)した、という話。Politburoは、正式には、Politburo of the Communist Party of China 「中国共産党中央政治局中国共産党中央政治局」。

政治局（せいじきょく 英語: Politburo, Political Bureau）は、共産党・社会主義政党の上級機関の名称である。政治局のかわりに「幹部会」「政治委員会」「政治執行委員会」「ポリトビューロー」などの名称が採用される場合もある。

 

共産主義国の政策決定機関をPolitburoということ。政治体制、議会のシステムなど国によって異なるのでややこしい。
