さきたま古墳公園にて（その７）At Sakitama Kofun Park (Part 7)

さきたま古墳公園ではソメイヨシノの他、オオシマザクラも咲いていました。

In addition to Somei Yoshino cherry trees, Oshima cherry trees were also blooming at Sakitama Kofun Park.

公園内には、史跡の博物館や古墳の展示館があります。

Inside the park, there is a museum of historical sites and an exhibition hall of ancient tombs.

先に訪ねた愛宕山古墳の図解です。

This is an illustration of the Atagoyama Tumulus that we visited earlier.

二重の堀があるのが、よく分かりますね。

You can clearly see that there is a double moat.

博物館の方へ向かいましたが、当日は休館日でした。

We headed towards the museum, but it was closed that day.

ミツバツツジも、綺麗に咲いていましたね。(^^)

The azaleas were also blooming beautifully.

こちらにも、小さな古墳がありました。

There was also a small burial mound here.

おや、何でしょう？

ピカチュウの埴輪です。(^^)

This is a Pikachu clay figure.

可愛いですね。

So cute.

「はにわの館」だったようです。

It seems that it was "Haniwa no Yakata".

手作りの埴輪が玄関先に飾られていた、というわけですね。

The handmade clay figures (Haniwa) were displayed at the entrance.

「埼玉県名発祥之碑」です。

''Monument commemorating the origin of Saitama Prefecture''.

埼玉県名の由来が説明されていました。

The origin of Saitama Prefecture's name was explained.

近辺の観光案内図です。

This is a tourist guide map of the area.

さて、さきたま古墳公園を離れ、昼食を取りに行きましょう！

Now, let's leave Sakitama Kofun Park and go have lunch !
