日曜日に第58回スーパーボウルがありました。
サンフランシスコ 49ers 対 カンザス シティ Chiefs
延長戦になって、Chiefsが逆転優勝。あともう一歩というところで49ersが負けてしまいました。
最後の最後までチャンスはあったので、すごく残念でした。
がっかりした人たちが多かったせいか、試合後は街が妙に静かだったような気がします。
休憩時間のショー、ハーフタイムショーは、アッシャー他数名のアーティストによるショー。
人気の曲が凝縮された良いショーでした。
そして、2/14は、バレンタインデー。 Happy Valentines’ Day!
さて、少し前に、私のお勧め個人的にベストのカフェはどこですかというご質問をいただきまして、どこもそれぞれの理由で良いところがあって、一つに絞れなかったので、2023年に行った個人的にお勧めサンフランシスコのカフェリストを作りました。
Andytown Coffee Roasters
飲み物とペイストリー、そしてカフェの空間や立地を総合的に考えた時に印象に残ったカフェ
モダンで広々とした空間。セールスフォースタワーに近い店舗は、公園と繋がっているのも魅力。
まだ、サンセット地区のオリジナル店舗は行ったことがないので、今度行ってみたいです。
Maison Nico
サクサクで美味しいクロワッサンをはじめ、美味しいものが食べられて、
かつおしゃれな雰囲気のモダンフレンチエピスリー＆カフェ
ギフト用ににもぜひお勧めしたい場所です。
Juniper
高い天井と青色と木を基調にした店内
自家製のペイストリーは、見た目も綺麗
Sightglass Coffee
立地がマイナスポイントですが、
一度は行っておきたいサンフランシスコのサードウェーブコーヒーを代表する一つのコーヒー＆カフェ
ロフト形式になっていて、広々とした空間。
あまり近辺歩くことはお勧めしません。
Home Coffee
ラテアートが楽しめて、アットホームなカフェ。
2015年バレンタインデーに第一店舗がオープン。
チャイナタウンでカフェラテや抹茶ラテを飲みたい時には便利
Asha Tea House
ダウンタウン近くでお茶をメインにしたい場合のカフェ
Cinderella Bakery & Cafe
ペイストリーの種類の豊富さに驚く、ロシア風ベーカリー＆カフェ
店内に席はなく、外に少しが席ある感じなので、落ち着きは無いかもしれませんが、
豊富なメニューなので、色々なものが試せるのが良いところ。

Hello everyone!
A few events happened over the last week. The first one was the Super Bowl LVIII which was held on Sunday, San Francisco 49ers vs. Kansas City Chiefs. It went overtime and the Chiefs won by coming from behind. It was unfortunate that 49ers lost the game as they were almost winning. I’d say they had a chance. The city was eerie calm after the game as a lot of people walking out of sports bars or restaurants very disappointed. The halftime show was performed by Usher and other artists. It was well organized with popular songs and I wish it was longer.
Then, there was Feb 14, Valentine’s Day on Wednesday (Happy Valentines’ Day!) and this weekend will be a three day weekend as Feb 19 is a President’s Day.
I’ve been asked recently which cafe I’d recommend in the city. But, it was difficult to select one as each place has its good feature and it could be the best for different reasons. So, I decided to make a list of cafes in San Francisco that I visited last year and I personally recommend.
Andytown
Considering overall drinks, baked goods the cafe space and the location, this place leaves a good impression. A modern spacious area. The store close to Salesforce Tower is connected Salesforce park, which is attractive. I haven’t been to the original cafe in the Sunset District and hopefully I will go there in the near future.
Maison Nico
Starting with the lovely flaky croissants, they have delicious baked goods and other goods. On top of that, this modern French epicerie and cafe has a chic atmosphere. I’d recommend their products as a gift as well.
Juniper
This cafe has the high ceiling and based in blue color and wood. The house-made pastries look beautiful.
Sightglass Coffee
The location is not that great but it’s a kind of place you want to check out at least one as it’s one of the popular third wave coffee shops and cafes. The inside was a loft style and spacious. I wouldn’t recommend walking around outside.
Home Coffee
You can enjoy their amazing latte arts at this cozy cafe where you feel like at home. They opened the first cafe on Valentine’s Day in 2015. It’s a convenient place if you want to have some cafe latte or matcha latte in Chinatown neighborhood.
Asha Tea House
In case n you want to have some break with some tea at a cafe in downtown.
Cinderella Bakery & Cafe
A Russian bakery and cafe with surprisingly various kinds of items. There’s no tables indoor but a few tables outside. It might not be a relaxing atmosphere when it’s packed but it’s nice they have so many items to select.
