シンデレラベーカリーは、ウェブサイトによると「ベイエリアで一番古い本物のホームスタイルのロシアンベーカリー」
店内は注文するカウンターのみ
外にアウトドアスペースがあり、大勢の人で賑わっていました。
1953年からある歴史あるベーカリー
今年で、70周年ですね！
ウェブサイトによると元々は2人のロシア人女性が始めたお店をソビエト連邦出身のMike Fishmanさんが引き継いで色々学び、2008年にはMikeさんと奥様のお店になったようです。
ペイストリーを買いに行きましたが、朝食やランチのメニューも充実しています。あまりにも種類が豊富で驚きました。
メニューはボードで確認できます。
ショーケースには、ピロシキ、ペイストリー、ケーキと種類がたくさんあるので、選ぶのに大変迷います。

クロワッサン系はサクサクの生地で、美味しかったです。
よく見かけるクロワッサンより生地が若干厚めのような感触でした。
どれも甘さ控えめで、食べやすかったです。
カスタードクリームもしつこくなく、そして甘すぎないので良い感じ。
今回は買っていませんが、以前食べたアプリコットタルトも美味しかったです。
ピロシキは気になったものの今回は頼まなかったので、次回に持ち越し。
まだまだ試したいアイテムが沢山あるので、また行きたいです。

A popular Russian bakery & cafe in the Richmond District that local people love;
Cinderella Bakery
According to its website, it is “the oldest authentic, homestyle Russian bakery in the Bay Area.“ There were no tables but a counter to order inside:however, there was an outdoor space where a lot of people were enjoying their food. Cinderella Bakery has been in business since 1953. This year will be the 70th anniversary! Apparently, it was started by two Russian women. Mike Fishman from the Soviet Union was trained and learned from them and took over the bakery with his wife as a solo owner in 2008.
We went there to get some pastries but they had good menu items for breakfast and lunch. I was surprised at a number of items. You could check menu on a board. There were various kinds of baked goods in the showcase such as Piroshki, pastries and cakes. Since there were many items, it was difficult to decide what to order. We were a kind of rushed to order as there was a line behind us. Their paper bag was pretty. They put baked goods in a paper bag one by one. Although I was interested in Piroshki, I didn’t get it this time and am looking forward to the next time.
Items we got this time were the Croissant, Almond Croissant, Cinnamon Swirl, Strawberry Custard Croissant and Eclair. Both croissants were flakey and delicious. I thought it was slightly different texture than regular croissants. It was thicker and more crunchy. The amount and the sweetness of the custard cream was perfect, not too much and not too sweet. I liked all items we bought. I remember the apricot tart was yummy last time I had.
There are still so many other items I want to try from this place and I’m looking forward to visiting there again. If you can’t go to the place, you can order online via Caviar, GrubHub or UberEats.
