最近バタバタしていまして、更新が遅れてしまいました。
ローワーハイト地区にあるコーヒーショップ＆カフェ
Souvenir Coffee
サンフランシスコに2店舗ありますが、イーストベイのバークレー発
Hoodlineによると、2017年にバークレーでオープンして、このお店は第3店舗目とのこと。
2021年にオープン
また、Berkeleyside によると、オーナーのJeremy Bledさんは、
サンフランシスコにお店をオープンする予定はなかったものの、
ゼネラルマネージャーさんがサンフランシスコに住んでいたので、
この場所が空いた時に引き取ることを決めたそうです。
地元の人が働くショップを目指しているとのこと。
お店にとってコーヒーとは、コミュニティ、質とケアの３つを表すもの。
そして、モットーは、「まず人、そして、コーヒー。」
オンラインの評判が良かったので、行ってきました。
私たちが行ったDivisadero店の店内はとても小さいスペース。
外にも少しテーブルがありました。（写真取り損ねました。）
1人待っている人がいて、スタッフの人から４分ほど待つことになると言われました。
そのあと注文してから、結構待ちまして、その間に何人もの人が並んで、申し訳ないと思いつつ、
素晴らしいと思ったのは、誰も諦めることなく、並んで待っていたこと。

今回頼んだのは、モカ、ラベンダーラテ、そしてベーグルサンドイッチ。

クリームチーズ、トマト、ベーコン、アボカド
コーヒーは飲みやすく、ベーグルサンドイッチも美味しかったです。
コーヒーのほか、Jade Leaf Matchaを使った抹茶ラテやをTipu's Cha使ったチャイラテもあります。
メニューは店舗によって少し違うようでした。
時間に余裕がある時に行くといいかもしれません。

Hello everyone!
It’s been very hectic and apologies for the delay in posting.
We went to a coffee shop and cafe in the Lower Haight District;
Souvenir Coffee
They have two locations in San Francisco but it’s originally from Berkeley. According to Hoodline, it started in Berkeley in 2017 and this place is the third location that opened in 2021. Also, according to Berkeleyside , the owner, Jeremy Bled didn’t plan to open his shop in San Francisco but decided to take over this Divisadero location because their general manager lived in San Francisco. He explained "it’s his goal to have local people who live the shops work there.” It sounds very considerate.
A great coffee means “three things: community, quality, and care” for Souvenir Coffee and their motto is “People first, then coffee” according to their website.
As their online reviews were great, we got curious and checked it out. The indoor of the Divisadero location was small but there were some tables and chairs outside. (I forgot to take a picture of outdoor seating area.) When we got there, one person was waiting for her order. The staff told me that it would take about 4 mins. I waited and ordered. Then, after a while, more customers came making a line. I felt bad as the staff was still working on my order…. The great thing was no customers complained or left. They were patiently waiting. There was only one person on staff. It was a slow relaxed atmosphere.
This time we had the Mocha, Lavender Latte and 2 Bagel Sandwiches, the breakfast bagel and the Fully Loaded. The breakfast bagel had fluffy egg omelette, cheese and a bacon. Fully Loaded came with cream “Cream cheese, heirloom tomatoes, Hobb's bacon, and avocado.”
Their coffee was good, easy to drink and bagel sandwiches were good also. Besides coffee and espresso based items, they have Matcha Latte with Jade Leaf Matcha and Chai Latte with Tipu’s Chai. Apparently, menu is slightly different by location.
It would be a good place to drop by when you have time and not in a rush.
