サンフランシスコでまた残念なニュースがありました。
ロイターによると、ユニオンスクエアで象徴的だったデパートMacy’sが、閉店を検討しているそうです。そして、その他約150店舗も閉店するとのこと。
他の大きなデパートが撤退していく中で、Macy’sは続いていて、
盛り上げていたので、かなり残念です。
デパート自体の存在はもちろん、毎年恒例の大きなクリスマスツリーがなくなるのは寂しくなります。

Little Sweet
サンフランシスコに合計7店舗あります。
2012年に創設されました。
今回行ったお店は、カウンターだけある小さな場所なので、
通り過ぎてしまうような場所だったりします。

注文は画面上から
パッと最初にメニューを見た時には、定番の飲み物が少ない印象でしたが、後から台湾ミルクティーが特徴とわかって納得。
いくつか試してみました。
黒糖フレッシュミルク。タピオカ入り。

追加注文する必要なくタピオカがついてきます。パートナーは美味しいと言っていました。
抹茶ラテ

甘すぎず、抹茶の味もしっかりしていて、美味しかったです。
仙草ゼリーフレッシュミルク

ちょっと違ったものを試したい方向け。仙草ゼリーがたくさん入っていて食べ応えありました。
ドリンクというよりデザート感覚でした。
タイグリーンミルクティ

飲みやすかったようです。
オレオミルクシェイクは、いかにもパートナーが好みそうでしたが、
もう少し暖かい時に試したいです。
ハイマウンテンミルクティーが割と人気みたいだったので、次回試したいです。
甘さは控えめなので、甘いものがお好きな方は多めにすることをお勧めします。
私はちょうどよかったです。
印象的なキャッチフレーズ“Got boba?
Sightlglassコーヒーを使ったミルクコーヒーもあり。
そのほかに、ジャパンタウン、ファイナンシャル地区、ミッションベイ、
インナーサンセット、そしてインナーリッチモンドにあります。
近くにカフェも兼ねたTurn Cafeがあるので、今度行ってみようと思います。

Hello everyone!
More sad news came for San Francisco. According to Reuters, the iconic department store in Union Square, Macy’s is planning to close. This along with another 150 stores will be closed in the future. While many retailers are shutting down in downtown San Francisco, Macy’s continued their business helping downtown area which was great. Therefore, it’s so disappointing and sad. The annual gigantic Macy’s Christmas tree will be missed as well.
There’s a little Taiwanese Milk Tea place nearby Union Square Macy’s;

There are 7 locations in San Francisco. It was founded in 2012. This downtown location is very small and there’s a small counter. So, it could be easily overlooked. The big sign of a drink would help you find it. You will make an order on a tablet. At the first look, it didn’t look like they had typical milk tea you’d find at a boba shop. Then, I found out that it is Taiwanese milk tea. We tried a few drinks.
Black Sugar Fresh Milk with Boba; “Creamy whole milk with small boba and hand-crafted caramelized brown sugar.” It comes with boba as a default. My partner liked it.
Matcha Latte; It wasn’t too sweet and good matcha taste.
Grass Jelly Fresh Milk; It would be good for people who want to try something new or unique. It contained a lot of grass jelly and it was more like a dessert.
Thai Green Milk Tea; It was easy to drink according to my partner.
I was curious about Oreo Milk Shake as I know my partner would love it and probably we will try when it gets warmer. The other flavor I was interested was High Mountain Milk Tea as apparently it’s popular. I had an impression their sweetness level is low so I’d recommend add one level up for sugar if you have a sweet tooth. It was perfect for me. Their tag line is interesting, “Got boba?” reminding me of the Got Milk? ads. They also have a milk coffee using Sightlglass.
Other locations include Japantown, Financial District, Mission Bay, Inner Sunset, and Inner Richmond. Apparently, there’s Turn Cafe which has a cafe space in downtown so I want to try in the future.
