My feelings about obtaining my dream job: Editor
I still remember the first time I read Yuri manga and got hooked on them. I wanted to very much be a translator or editor for such comics back in the day.Never would I have thought, that I would legit become an editor today. Editing articles for a traveling company feel more legit and less "cheap" than editing for manga.I guess back then I guess I could have my cake and eat it too, but that is definitely not the case when it comes to editing and writing as a whole.I learned through writing articles, that it is not easy or fun but simply using a shitload of brainpower. And since I am, if anything, more of a fictional writer, a poet, than an article writer I add my emotions into my writing always, without questions, even if I try to prevent it from occurring. It doesn't work like that for me.I need to enhance writing, be that person who dissectswords and meanings and sentences that want to mean a certain thing but mean something else by accident. I want to unfold and unravel that mystery when it comes to de-coding what a writer wants to say and help them explain it and reform their sentences entirely.Maybe deep down, after all the journalling, and after all the poetry writing, after all these years trying to ave myself through writing. I just only ended up in circles when it came to writing and my niche and my purpose when it came to my hobbies and my career-- I simply love to express my emotions and thoughts in a nutshell. Writing as well as singing and music, and certain books that grasp my attention if I feel I can resonate with them.I feel thankful that Naoaki-san gave me this solid chance as their editor. I don't want to let him or myself down. I perhaps was born to write, not as an author of any sort, but as simply a person who writes and rewrites, who makes writing better and edits to perfection, revising on and off again, in a way making reading and rewriting my life, a semi-calling, or maybe it is my calling when it comes to work, a career, definitely something beyond a profession.I wonder what other kinds of editing I can tap my skills into, but I can start from this job as an article writer and enhance my own skills at my own pace by reading, writing, editing, and make this my priority for a while apart from prioritizing Mehdi's health and my own. All I can do is my best, enhance myself as a person through writing, through my skills at work, and through trying to be a better future wife for Mehdi. But shaping myself through writing and words, I feel this fits me very well as a word/expressing lover, and someone who can be so devoted to a career and calling, both at home and worklife-wise. I write, I read, I convey, dissect language down to a T, therefore I am alive.
