おとといから、映画三昧しています。

I've watching movies a lot since the day before yesterday.

レスリー・チャンが突然この世に別れを告げてから、10年たちます。

歌手として、俳優として、わたしにとってはいまだにレスリーを超える人はいません。

今も、いつまでも、だいすき

It's been 10 years since Leslie Cheung had passed away. He is still my best singer and actor.

フォーラム仙台で、レスリーのメモリアル上映をしています。

レスリーがスクリーンに現れただけで、涙が出そう。

ああ。やっぱり素敵。

Leslie's films are now showing at Forum Sendai.

Once he comes up to the screen, my eyes are filled with tears. He is so cool !

もう、あたらしいレスリーを観ることはできない。

コンサートに行くこともできない。

そんな風に、思っていたのですが、それは違うとわかりました。

素晴らしい作品を残すということは、いつまでも、観る人に元気をくれるということなのです。

惜しむよりも、感謝すべきですね。

I was heartsick whenever think of him. I can't watch his new film. I can't enjoy his show anymore...

However, now I know it was wrong.

He always gives power to the people who watch his works. We shoul thank him rather than miss him.

10年前といえば、わたしがブータンに留学した年でもあります。

今わたしがしていることが具体的に始まったときでもあるのです。

わたしの作品が、いつか、誰かを、ちょっぴり元気づけることができるかも？

そう思って、頑張らなくちゃ。

さて、今晩も、レスリー二本、観てきます

The same year when he passed away, I went to Bhutan as a student.

I started the story of my Bhutanese embroidery.

I might be able to encourage somebody with my embroidery work someday, just like the way Leslie encourages me.

I'll enjoy his films tonigyt, too !

謹賀新年！ Happy Losar!

旧暦でお正月を祝うみなさま、あけましておめでとうございます。

今年もよい年になりますように。

日本ではとっくに巳年なのに、ブータンでもこれから生まれる子たちが、ようやく巳年。

うちの１月生まれの甥っ子も、誕生日の解釈によって干支が違うことを思い出す、今年二度目のお正月です。

A happy new year

In Japan, we are living with western calendar. We've already spent year of snake more then one month. How ever, in Bhutan and many other countries, the babies who are going to be born from now will belong to snake.

I'm happy to celebrate new year twice in one year.

My two Bhutanese cats are very fine.

ブータンでは、昨年（2012年1月～12月）の国際観光客数のうち、日本人がトップになりました。

日本人観光客6,967人（対前年比77%増）、第2位のアメリカ人は6,007人（対前年比4%減）。

2011年11月にブータン国王夫妻が訪日され、日本でのブータンの知名度があがった影響は、とても大きいようです。

と書いていて、思いだしました。

私も、去年、久しぶりにブータンに行ったんだっけ

あの静かさがいいのに、わんさか日本人に会うならブータン旅行もちょっとなぁ、なんて言わないでくださいね。

たとえば、タイとかイギリスとかアメリカとか…。ほかの国で見かける日本人の数を想像してください。

一年で、たった7,000人です。

まだまだ静かなものです。安心しておでかけくださいませ。

Bhutan hosted 6,969 Japanese as tourists last year. And this is the biggest number of foreign tourists in Bhutan.

Since their majesties the king and queen of Bhutan had visited Japan in 2011, Bhutan became very popular in Japan.

そして、ブータンの今年の話題は、何といっても選挙。

政党政治になってから初めての国会議員の改選があります。

政党って、あると何が違うの？

という状態だった前回の選挙。ブータン国民の判断はどうなるのか？

興味津津です。

This year, Bhutan will have first reelectoin of National Assembly with party politics.

How Bhutanese judge the party system? I'm intersted in a lot.

みんなが、ほんのり幸せな一年でありますように。

I hope I can expand stronger relationship with Bhutan.

I wish you all peaceful happy days in this year too.

課題作品ずらーり Curriculum

1月から、ブータン刺繍教室が増えました。

東京大学仏教青年会 での、ブータン刺繍サークルです。

仏教やインドに関するいろいろな講座があり、

どれも興味深くて、しかも、素晴らしい講師の方々がたくさん。

こんなところに並ばせていただけるんだなぁと感激です。

住まいが近かったら、わたしが勉強しに通いたいところです。

Last month, I'd started new course at Young Buddhist Association of The University of Tokyo.

There are various lectures and workshops which I'm interested in so much. I'm proud myself that I can join here.

一回目だった1月17日、テーブルの上に、カリキュラムの順番に作品を並べてみました。

なかなか素敵～

左から右に進みます。

最初は、タシタゲ（八吉祥紋）などのシンボルから、動物、神仏へ。

神仏も、如来→菩薩→グル・リンポチェと、着物・アクセサリー・持ち物すべてが複雑になっていくような順番です。

こうしてみると、こてこてにチベット仏教美術なのがよくわかりますが、

刺繍をしにいらっしゃる生徒さんたちにはクリスチャンの方もいらっしゃるし、

敬虔な仏教徒である必要はありません。

ただ、仏教に敬意を持っていてくださったらうれしいです。

ブータン刺繍の入口は、「素敵♪」と思って楽しんでいただけたら、それが一番！

刺繍の経験も知識も、ゼロからのスタートで大丈夫です！

なにより、絹の光沢と手触りは、なんともいえず素敵で、

この絹の素晴らしさを、ひとりでも多くの方たちに感じていただけたらなぁ、と思います。

新しく始められた方たち、よろしくお願いいたします。

末永くブータン刺繍の楽しさに親しんでいただけたらうれしいです。

On 17th Jan, at the beginning of the lesson, I made a line of items as the order of the curriculum. I realized again that I'm so attracted with these embroideries.

Curriculum goes from left to right.

We start with simbols ( eight lucky signs ), animals, then gods. With gods, we start from simple Buddha to Bodhisattva, then start Guru Rimpoche. The clothes, jewelries and holding items are more complicated with later ones.

It's not necessary to be a Buddhist to learn Bhutanese embroidery, however, I hope you respect Buddhism.

If you are attracted with the Bhutanese embroidery, that would be enough reason to start learning. You don't need to have knowledge or technique of embroidery.

I hope you enjoy the smooth texture and beauty of silk, and the Bhutanese Buddhism art.
