Sivan : (Answering a question from the audience) Sure. So, um, wow, I'm so proud of this. This is like, maybe the coolest thing that I've ever done. Um, no. Okay, so basically, my first ever manager was not a music manager. He was an acting manager. And that's how I kind of got into acting when I first started, was because he was like, "I don't really know what to do with you as a singer." But, anyway so, then once I started to sing on YouTube and stuff like that, he started to kind of like look for more musicians. And I have no idea how he found her. Kaye Rose (Chappell Roan) from Missouri. Missouri.

Sivan : She just had this like incredible incredible incredible voice. And he sent her song called 'Die Young' to me. And he was like, "Hey, I think I'm about to sign this." Like, I think she was like 14 or something. I have no idea. Um, I think I'm about to sign this girl. And I was just like completely completely blown away. Could not believe her vocal ability. I was just like, "This is, she's unbelievable."

I was like tweeting about her and stuff like that. And um... and I mean, it didn't do anything at the time. But now, I can claim it maybe, I don't know.

Sivan : I guess it kind of worked 10 years, 15 years later, whatever it's been. But um... but no, I'm so so so happy for her. I think that like, she is, just I mean speaking about pop, I think the moment that we are in right now is so so so exciting, and um... what an exciting talent! I'm like so excited to watch where she ends up. Oh my god, I would die to, yeah, of course I would love to. Yeah.

I think I was like it was a little bit meta where I was like I'm aware that I'm releasing a pop album, and so I like know, that there's that people are going to hear this probably, and that I'm going to be playing shows and stuff like that, like there was that awareness, but also it was so personal to just like what I was going through.

Sivan : I think like the craziest full circle moment of the whole thing was, um... so, last story, but basically, I had this one encounter with this guy, who was the first kind of encounter, that I had had, since I went through my breakup, and I was so kind of like petrified,
シヴァン：一番、クレイジーな出来事はね。この前のことなんだけど、要するに、ある男と、出会った時のことなんだ。別れがあってから、初めての出会いだった。すごく怖かった。
Sivan : And you know, I had all these ideas of what I thought like real intimacy was, and I was like, well, this is not going to be that, because how can it be, you know, I've been with my ex for 4 years and 4, and a half years or whatever. And so, I was like, this is not going to be anywhere nearly, you know, as like fulfilling. And so anyways, I'm like, sure, let's go for it. And we have this like night, and then he says to me, can I sleep over?
シヴァン：当時僕は、本当の親密さって何だろうって、いろんな考えがあって、でも「これは違う」って思ったんだ。だって僕は、元彼とは、4年半も付き合ってたからね。「こんなの、満たされるはずがないさ」って思いながらも、「いいよ、やってみよう。」 そして、一夜を過ごしたら、彼が、「泊まって行ってもいい？」って、言ってきたんだ。
Sivan : And I was like so nervous, because again, I hadn't done that. And I said, yes. And he said to me, he was like, to me, this is like one of life's greatest pleasures. Like I think just being able to... it's like even if I never see you again, um... being able to kind of like connect like this for this, you know, moment is really really special, and I found myself feeling so so so connected to him again.
シヴァン：すごく緊張したんだ。だって、そういう経験がなかったから。「いいよ」って答えたら、すると彼は「俺にとって、これは人生最大の喜びの一つさ」って言ってくれた。「もう二度と君と会えないとしても、いまこうやって、俺が君と繋がれるのは、本当に、特別な瞬間だと思うよ。」僕はそのとき、彼と、すごくすごく繋がっていると感じた。
Sivan : I had not, I never saw him again, right? It was just that one night kind of thing, but um... but realizing how important that was, and how like kind of meaningful, it was, set me on the path for the album. Anyways, couple months ago, I'm in Melbourne, and I'm sitting at like a wine bar, and old mate is sitting right there. So, I, he comes up to the table. We start talking. We're like having a laugh and stuff like that. And then, he is randomly, he's like crashing a date with his friend, whatever, I don't know.
シヴァン：彼とはもう、二度と会ってないはずだよね？ そう、 一晩だけだったんだけど... でも、あれがどれだけ大切なことだったか、どれだけ意味のあることだったかに気づいたことが、アルバム制作のきっかけになったんだ。それでね。数ヶ月前、メルボルンで、僕がワインバーに座っていた時のことさ。昔の友達が、ちょうどそこに座っていた。友達が僕のテーブルにやってきて、僕たちは話し始めた。笑い合ったり、そんな感じだった。そのとき、あの男が、ふと友達のデートに乱入してきたみたいで、何だったかは、よく覚えてないけどね。
Sivan : Anyways, he comes and he sits at my table, and we get talking, and I was like, "Can I tell you something really really weird? You were like sort of the seed for the entire album, like you kind of got me on this path. " And he was like, "Wait, the craziest thing that I was not going to tell you, but now I will.", is like, "I'm going through a breakup right now, and the album is the thing that's like starting me." And so, it was like full full full circle. And I think it was, it was a really special moment for me. So yeah, amazing.

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.

※Around age 18, secure in his identity, Sivan set the stage for his life to come with two videos: In May 2013, he posted an original song, inspired by the young adult best-seller The Fault in Our Stars, and in August, he came out to his followers. Both videos went viral. And then, so did he. Time magazine named him one of the 25 most influential teens of 2014. He walked in Hedi Slimane’s fall 2015 Saint Laurent menswear show. By 2016, he had over 4 million YouTube subscribers and was reportedly making upwards of six figures in sponsorships. “At that point,” he says, “I was just along for the ride.”

Sivan’s eight-minute, 17-second coming-out video is a rare thing, equal parts star power and vulnerable humanity. He had promised himself he would come out before signing a record deal, knowing it was the only way he could write music that would be completely honest. When pressed, he now says he briefly wondered if it might have lost him some young, infatuated female fans, but he “had no other choice. It was a moment where I was like, ‘I have to put myself first.’”（@「Billboard」誌）
