Troye : Okay, you guys seemed to like my last date-fail story, so I'm gonna give you another one.
トロイ： みんな前の“デート大失敗ストーリー”けっこう気に入ってくれたみたいなんだよね。だからさ、もう一個あげるよ。
Troye : Basically, I matched with this guy on Hinge. I wasn't really about the small talk, so I'm like, “Do you want to hang out tonight? I'm free tonight if you are.” And he's like, “Yeah, keen.”
トロイ： まあ簡単に言うと、Hingeである男の子とマッチしたんだ。で、俺あんまりスモールトークとか好きじゃないでしょ？だからいきなり「今日会う？ 俺今日空いてるんだけど」って送ったのさ。そしたら向こうも「いいよ、行く行く」みたいな感じで。
Troye : So, I pick a place. He's like, “Never heard of it,” but his location says my neighborhood — and this place is a very well‑known spot in my neighborhood.
So, I'm like, okay, that's kind of interesting.
トロイ： で、俺がお店を決めたんだけど、彼が「聞いたことないな」って言うのに、アプリの位置情報は“俺の近所”になってるわけ。しかもその店、俺のエリアじゃ超有名な場所なんだよね。だから「ん？ なんか変だな」って思ってさ。
Troye : I was like, “Do you want to go in like 40 minutes or whatever?”
He's like, “Oh no, I need like two hours or something because I live like an hour out of the city.” And I'm like, “Oh… but your location said— I thought you lived in my neighborhood?” He was like, “No, no, I'm trying different neighborhoods on Hinge.”

Troye : I'm like, okay… interesting. Red flag kind of, but it's fine, whatever.

Troye : Anyway, I walk up to the place at the time we said we’d meet, and I see him standing there. I go up to him and I'm like, “Hey, what's up,” give him a hug — and he looks *shook*. Like he kind of jumped a little bit.

Troye : And he's standing next to this girl. He introduces me to her: “Oh, um, this is my cousin.” And I'm like, “Oh, okay. Hey, what's up, nice to meet you.”
トロイ： で、その横に女の子が立ってるの。彼が紹介してきて、「あ、えっと…いとこなんだ」って。俺は「お、おう。どうも、よろしく」って感じで。
Troye : I think the reason he looked shook was because he got caught.
Basically — this is my thought process — I'm like, “Oh, she's here to see him into the date to make sure he's not going to get murdered,” which is fair enough and actually kind of sweet. So, I'm like, okay, she's just gonna see him in.
Or maybe she was gonna spy on us — that was like my worst‑case scenario, if I took it to the furthest place.

Troye : Little did I know. I'm like, “Okay cool, should we head in?” He's like, “Yeah.”

Troye : I'm like, “Okay, I'm gonna go get a drink. Do you guys want anything?”
And I end up buying the three of us wine.
トロイ： 俺、「じゃあ飲み物買ってくるけど、何かいる？」って聞いて、結局ワインを3人分買う羽目になって。
Troye : We sit, and he is *so* shy. And she is little Chatty Cathy, chewing my ear off. So, I end up on this date with this guy *and his cousin*.
トロイ： で、座ったら彼はめちゃくちゃシャイでしょ。で、いとこは超おしゃべりで、ずーっと話しかけてくるんだ。気づいたら俺、彼と“彼のいとこ”との3人デートになってたんだよね。
Troye : One of my friends was in the bar, and when I went to the bathroom I told her what was going on. I literally could not look in her direction because we were dying laughing about what was happening.

Troye : Also — they went to the bathroom together. They were like, “Yeah, yeah, we're the same age, we're cousins, we've been inseparable since we were born.” I'm like, okay… go off.

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.
