And now, honestly like, I don't really have a desire to release them, like I feel like they did not serve their purpose, you know, so, or maybe they did and that's fine now. You know, I wrote them and they're away and that's okay. Yeah.

Sivan : And so, you know, for example, every single choice is like completely completely intentional. And I feel really excited by all of the tools that we have whether it's like, you know hard tuning like for example, 'One of Your Girls', the chorus came kind of late, you know, I had this verse, that was like so adoring of this guy, and it was like this yearning and doting song, and then, um, can I name drop for a second? When I was filming 'the Idol', the Weekend showed me this video of this um... old movie.

Sivan : I don't know what it was called or anything, but um, it was like this robot was in the recording studio, and he was singing this really really sad song, and, somehow you felt like empathy for this robot, because he was so, you could tell that, he was like so desperate to connect, and so disconnected, and I was like, damn, that's kind of how I feel sometimes.

Sivan : And so immediately then I was like, oh, the chorus for 'One of Your Girls' has to have this um... like, this disconnect in it, and it has to sound like me, but also not sound like me, and so then, you know, for that chorus, it's like um... I'm layered in with also we use the vocoder on my voice, and um... you know, just to kind of, again always striving to kind of create a full feeling, not just kind of tell a story, but really really create it in someone.

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.

Sivan’s eight-minute, 17-second coming-out video is a rare thing, equal parts star power and vulnerable humanity.
