5月1５日、新潟県新発田市西公園に於いて令和八年越佐招魂社祭が斎行されました。
On May 15, the 2026 Memorial Service for the War Dead of Echigo and Sado was held at Nishi Park in Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture.

西公園内にある忠霊堂には維新以降、大東亜戦争までの戦没者14,6009余柱の骨壺が収められている。
The Chureido Hall in Nishi Park houses the urns of more than 14,600 soldiers who died in battle from the Meiji Restoration through the Second World War.
ガダルカナル島では第二師団歩兵第十六連隊が新発田編成で2,000余柱が戦没されています。
On Guadalcanal, more than 2,000 soldiers from the 16th Infantry Regiment of the 2nd Division, which had been mobilized from Shibata, were killed in action.
