Nishimachi Expo 2025
Hello everyone!We were honored to once again participate in the Nishimachi International School Expo this year. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect with students and families exploring their high school options!This annual event is held exclusively for students at Nishimachi International School who are beginning to consider their next steps after middle school. It provides a valuable space for students to engage directly with a variety of schools, ask questions, and gather insights to help inform their future decisions.Following our participation last year, we were delighted to return and be part of this meaningful event once again. This year, we introduced two outstanding boarding and day schools located on the East Coast of the United States.皆さん、こんにちは！今年も素晴らしい機会をいただき、西町インターナショナルスクールのエキスポに参加してきました！このエキスポは、西町インターナショナルスクールの生徒様向けだけに、高校進学を考えている生徒たちがさまざまな学校と直接つながり、情報を得ることができるイベントです。私たちも昨年に続き、再び参加できたことを嬉しく思います。今年は、アメリカ東海岸にある素晴らしいボーディング／デイスクールを2校ご紹介しました。The first school we featured was Léman Manhattan Preparatory School, located in the heart of New York City. We’re proud to share that three of our students are currently enrolled at Léman. Léman is the only boarding school in Manhattan, offering a truly unique educational experience right in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods. It’s a co-educational, independent school and an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, welcoming students from 12 months old through Grade 12. As an IB school, Léman is dedicated to fostering students who are confident, curious, and capable of thinking independently. The IB program provides a challenging and globally focused curriculum designed not only to prepare students for success in university, but also to nurture a lifelong love of learning and a strong international outlook. With access to top-tier facilities, including two indoor pools, a rock-climbing wall, and a full gymnasium, along with the many fields and parks across New York City, Léman students are constantly challenged to push themselves and achieve their personal best.Participation in both organized team sports and individual activities fosters essential life skills. Through these experiences, students learn how to set meaningful goals, develop the discipline necessary to reach them, and most importantly, take pride in their accomplishments.レマン・マンハッタンでは、バスケットボールやバレーボールからスクワッシュ、スイミングまで、多彩な45の競技スポーツチームに参加する豊富な機会があります。2つの屋内プール、ロッククライミングウォール、広々としたジムに加え、ニューヨーク市内の多くのフィールドや公園も利用できるため、レマンの生徒たちは常に自分の限界に挑戦し、最高のパフォーマンスを目指しています。組織されたチームスポーツや個人活動への参加を通じて、生徒たちは目標を設定し、それを達成するための規律を身につけるなど、人生に欠かせない重要なスキルを養っています。そして何より、自分の努力と成果に誇りを持つことを学びます。Next up, we’re excited to introduce The Peddie School in New Jersey, located just a short 8-mile drive from Princeton University. Founded way back in 1864, Peddie is a private, co-ed independent school that offers both boarding and day programs for students in Grades 9 through 12. With a diverse student body of 527 young learners from 25 different countries, and a favorable student-to-teacher ratio of 8:1, Peddie provides a close-knit and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. It’s also a school that many Nishimachi students have chosen for their high school journey, making it a trusted and popular option within our community.次にご紹介するのは、ニュージャージー州にある ペディ・スクール（The Peddie School） です。プリンストン大学からわずか8マイルの距離に位置しています。1864年に設立されたペディ・スクールは、私立・共学のインディペンデント・スクールであり、9年生から12年生までを対象とした全寮制および通学生向けの学校です。現在、ペディには25か国から集まった527名の生徒が在籍しており、生徒と教師の比率は8対1と、きめ細やかなサポートが受けられる学習環境が整っています。西町インターナショナルスクールからも多数の生徒が留学した実績がある学校です。At Peddie, the arts are not only an academic pursuit but also a vibrant passion shared by the student community.
