Hello everyone! 🏌️
The days are getting much colder...how is everyone doing?
Last weekend, Future Education had the privilege of participating in a special event, volunteering at the Daisuke Shindo Junior Golf Tournament held at Southern Yard Country Club in Ibaraki Prefecture.

At the tournament, we were deeply moved to see the talented young golfers up close.

Our member girls were also very active! They held mini English conversation lessons themed around golf, interviewed players in English about their goals and experiences, and had an incredibly fulfilling time.
First, we'd like to share in detail how our two adorable 🩷 member girls supported the event and helped make the day even more memorable.

It's getting colder every day, but I hope you're all doing well!

First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Daisuke Shindo for giving us and our members this wonderful opportunity.

At the tournament, I was deeply moved by the opportunity to watch the talented young golfers play up close .
The member girls also played an active role! They gave mini golf-themed English lessons and interviewed the players in English, asking them about their golf goals and experiences. We had a very fulfilling time.
First, we'll take a closer look at how the two cute 🩷 member girls supported the tournament and made the day even more memorable.

First, we started with the tournament check-in!
Together with the FE staff, the member girls welcomed the elementary school golfers arriving at the venue with warm smiles, greeted them in English, guided them to the reception area, and assisted them in preparing for the tournament.

Once everyone had arrived, it was time for orientation.
Led by the FE staff and our two member girls, we held a short but lively mini-lesson on practical golf English.
We introduced common English phrases used in golf and taught the players how to use them during actual play.

Here are the phrases we introduced:

1. Good lie
2. Have a good game!
3.  It's my turn.
4. I'm in the sand.
5. Aim left/right 左/右を狙う
6. It's into the wind.
7. Who goes first?
8. I'll go ahead.
9. Awesome! 最高!
10. Nice Shot!

After the FE English orientation, the young golfers began a practice session with professional golfers.
They received valuable advice and guidance in preparation for the tournament.

During this time, our member girls conducted interviews in English, giving them a chance to get closer to the players.
They asked questions such as how long the children had been playing golf, who their favorite professional golfers were, and which part of the game they enjoyed most—driving, chipping, or putting.

Listening to the children interact, we were delighted to see that although the players usually live in a Japanese-speaking environment, they were making a sincere effort to speak and listen in English during the interviews.

Many of the players had started golf as soon as they could hold a club, and most said that driving was their favorite part of the game.

Through these interviews, our members had a wonderful opportunity to connect with the players and experience their passion for golf up close.

When practice time ended, the junior golfers took on the driving, chipping, and putting competitions.
It was an exciting moment for all of us as well!

The member girls had the important role of introducing the players in English during the driving competition, and they carried out their duties admirably.

As the players appeared, applause filled the venue, showing how warmly everyone was welcomed.

The member girls holding the microphones did an excellent job of boosting the golfers' morale and creating a positive, energetic atmosphere.
