unwritten rules

英語カフェでの一節です。前回の続きです。
S: スタッフさん、A, B: お客さん
A: Last week, I had parties with our customers everyday. I feel very tired.
A: Never talk.
S: Of course not. The party rule is "no politics, no religion, and no work". These are the three most boring topics.
A: Yeah, if we talk about such topics, our customer will hate it and the business will not go well.
S: Actually, it's a common sense everywhere. If we talk about these topics, chances are that the conversation is going dry because these are the negative inputs.
B: I see.
S: Actually, that's an unwritten rule. A serious conversation is draining your power. Just having a small talk doesn't take energy from you.
B: I guess you are very tired.
A: Tired...
S: I can't feel bad for him because he earns a lot of money by having parties with beautiful girls everyday.
会社の顧客との飲み会というのは、何かと気を遣いますし、なかなか大変なものです。
その中でも、政治、宗教、ビジネスの話は、対立や意見の相違を生みやすく、場がしらけるので、飲み会ではタブーとされるようです。
私は飲み会自体が嫌いですが、その中でも嫌いなトピックは下ネタですかね。
特に隣のテーブルに女子がいるような時に、その人たちに聞こえるような大きい声で下ネタを話すのはどうかと思います。
もうちょっと周りのこと考えろと言いたくなりますね。まあ、飲んだくれに何言っても無駄ですが。

S: スタッフ、A,B: お客さん、K: 私
A: Nightclubs are very interesting. In Ginza, there are many beautiful girls.
B: Is it expensive?
A: It depends on the place. But It's much more expensive compared with the clubs around here.
B: I see.
A: We often take our customer to Ginza and pay all of the charge for them. Next time we meet them, they say thanks to us and pay a lot of money to buy our system.
K: Oh, really? Taking them to Ginza is a good investment. There's a good return for that.
A: Yeah, good investment.
S: I think that club women are baka.
A: No, they are not baka. They are professional. They know how to get money from you. You can't compare them with the girls around here.
S: Ah, I see.
B: What do you talk with them?
A: I don't care what to talk about. They are good at making the atmosphere. They make us feel comfortable by doing wassyoi-wassyoi.
S: I see. They are good at flattering.
私は、クラブやキャバクラなど、行ったことがないので区別がよく分からないのですが、英語では nightclub とか hostess bar と言うようです。
人に聞くと、そういうお店ではかなり褒められるそうで、英語では flattering （おべっか使い）という表現が最適です。
クラブやキャバクラは私にとって未知の世界なので、一度社会勉強として行ってみなければなりませんね。
ただ、キャバクラにハマりやすい性格として、
自意識過剰 self-conscious
見栄張り pretentious
人見知り shy
小心者 coward
友達少ない
などが知られていて、私はことごとく該当してしまうので、おそらく一度行くと通うことになってしまうと思います。
気をつけなければですね。

こんにちは。
今日の日経平均は264円高の大幅上昇で22000円台を回復。
空売り比率が45%から40%に急減しているため、ショートカバーが主体であったと思われます。
さらなる上昇のためには、多少揉み合って再度空売りを誘い込むことが必要と思われます。
今日は出張で名古屋に来ています。
名古屋にも英語カフェがいくつかあるんで、行ってみようかと思いましたが、残念ながら月曜はどこも休業日のようです。
名古屋には頻繁に来てるんで、また次の機会にしたいと思います。
