17)When Joshua heard the noise of the people shouting, he said to Moses, "There is the sound of war in the camp."
18)Moses replied:
"It is not the sound of victory,
it is not the sound of defeat;
it is the sound of singing that
I hear."
19)When Moses approached the camp and saw the calf and the dancing, his anger burned and he threw the tablets out of his hands, breaking them to pieces at the foot of the mountain.
23)Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
アモス書5章23節
あなたがたの歌の騒ぎを、わたしから遠ざけよ。わたしはあなたがたの琴の音を聞きたくない。
Amos 8
9)"In that day," declares the Sovereign Lord,
"I will make the sun go down at noon and darken the earth in broad daylight.
10)I will turn your religious feasts (※not God's but human's feasts) into mourning and all your singing into weeping. I will make all of you wear sackloth and shave your heads. I will make that time like mourning for an only son and the end of it like a bitter day.
15)Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16)For everything in the world―the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does―comes not from the Father but from the world.
17)The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God lives for ever.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
James 3:17
But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, conciderate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere.
Proverbs 16
8)Better a little with righteousness than much gain with injustice.
9)In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps.
6)Then I saw another angel flying in mid-air, and he had the eternal gospel to proclaim to those who live on the earth-to every nation, tribe, language and people.
7)He said in a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come. Worship him who made the heavens, the earth, the sea and the spring of water."
8)A second angel followed and said, "Fallen! Fallen is Babylon the Great, which made all the nations drink the maddening wine of her adulteries."
9)A third angel followed them and said in the loud voice: "If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand,
10)he, too, will drink of the wine of God's fury, wfich has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath. He will be tormented with burning sulphur in the presence of holy angels and the Lamb.
11)And the smoke of their torment rises for ever and ever. There is no rest day or night for those who worship the beast and his image, or for anyone who receives the mark of his name."
12)This calls for patient endurance on the part of the saints who obey God's commandmants and remain faithful to Jesus.
13)Then, I heard a voice from heaven say, "Write: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Yes," says the Spirit, "they will rest from their labour, for their deeds will follow them."
Most Christians think that all Christians will be resurrected at the second coming of Christ. However, we know this is not so from scriptures that have set conditions in Holy Bible.
13)Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope.
14)We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.
15)According to the Lord's own word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16)For the Lord himself will comedown from heaven, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ (martyrs, true Christans) will rise first.
17)After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord for ever.
18)Therefore encourage each other with these words.
4)I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not recieved his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
5)(The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousnd years were ended.) ※This is the first resurrection.
6)Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.
※)The first ressurection of the dead does not include all Christians. Only those who died in tha name of Christ and true Christians wil be ressurected.
The first time I noticed this long ago, was when the three angels appeared before Abraham as described in Genesis chapter 18. Also I believe that one of the three angels was Jesus before appearing in the New Testament.
1)The Lord appeared to Abraham near the great trees of Mamre while he was sitting at the day.
2)Abraham looked up and saw three men standing nearby. When he saw them, he hurried from the entrance of his tent to meet them and bowed low to the ground.
3)He said, "If I have found favour in your eyes, my lord(O Lord), do not pass your servant by.
16)When the men got up to leave, they looked down towards Sodom, and Abraham walked along with them to see them on their way.
17)Then the LORD said, "Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?
18)Abraham will surely become a great and powerful nation, and all nations on earth will be blessed through him.
19)For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him."
20)Then the LORD said, "The outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah is so grievous
21)that I will go down and see if what they have done is as bad as the outcry that has reached me. If not, I will know."
22)The men turned away and went towards Sodom, but Abraham remained standing before the LORD.
