last night, our tv suddenly broke down with the huge static noise..... luckily, we have this small portable tv set in the kitchen, so we can still watch tv but really small and very much noisy....

recently, i found out (well, my wife told me) that we can brew coffee twice (or three times) with the same coffee beans. actually, it's pretty good!! i was amazed by that. it's like as follows; first brew: excellent, second brew: well, pretty good and third brew: still drinkable. since i stay home all day and translate documents, i tend to drink coffee a lot. so, this is really efficient and money saving way.
最近、同じコーヒー豆で2回（ないしは3回）コーヒーを入れることができるということを発見（というか、奥さんが教えてくれたんですが）。実際のところ、これがなかなかです。1回目：エクセレント、2回目：お～良い感じ、3回目：お？一応まだ飲めるよ。ってな感じです。自分の場合、一日中家に居て文書の翻訳をしているため、かなりの量のコーヒーを飲むんですよね。だから、これは効率的且つ経済的な方法になってます。

long-awaited package has finally arrived. i had looked for a watch which has day, date and world time (can display both in the screen) functions, and here it is!! besides, it receives radio wave to adjust time in daily basis. and the good thing about the watch is that the solar panel area is like light purple-ish color which will be my lucky color in 2007!!!

my wife gets a lot of pacakges, and i sometimes get tiny shares of them. moreover, she gets small gifts/presents from various kinds of people, and again, i get tiny shares of them..... in my case? i get pretty much nothing, unless i buy something. two things i get in daily basis are weight and goaties which i am trying to grow.

after taking my wife to her studio, we headed for family restaurant nearby and had breakfast. since we had more than an hour before record stores open @ 11:00, we went to see the ocean. it was really a nice day out, so we could have such a fresh air. after that, we went to some record stores and dug some more records.
奥さんをスタジオまで送った後、近所のファミレスで朝食。その後、レコ屋さんが開く11時まで1時間以上あったので、海を見に。とても天気が良かったので、新鮮な空気を満喫。それから、また幾つかのレコ屋さんに行ってレコ掘り作業。

a record dealer came over here from the us, so i took him to some record stores (i jouined him as an interpreter/assistant). we were going to go to some other towns but since he did pretty good shopping, we decided not to go out of town. points of records: "akaban," sample/promo, with "obi," with booklet, test pressing, etc.
米国からレコード・ディーラーが来たので、幾つかのレコ屋さんに連れて行きました（通訳兼アシスタントとして同行）。今回は他の町に行く予定でしたが、連れて行ったレコ屋さんで結構な買付けができたみたいで、結局は他の町には行かず。買付けのポイント：赤盤、サンプル／プロモ、「帯」付、冊子付、テスト・プレスなどなど。
later, we stopped by at a flower shop and had them to make bouquet and went to my wife's mother's b-day @ hardrock cafe. it was fun, and the best part was that the dealer friend did indian dancing! he said that it was the first time to show people his indian dancing.
その後、花屋さんに寄ってブーケを作ってもらい、奥さんのお母さんの誕生日パーティー参加のためにハードロック・カフェへ。楽しかったし、最高だったのはディーラーの友達がインディアン・ダンスを披露したこと!! 人前で踊ったのは初めてだったそうです。
since he could not get hotel room for the night, he stayed over at our house. he has seven cats at his home, so he did get along with our kitty kitty.
今晩のホテルが取れなかったので、我が家に泊まることに。彼も7匹の猫を飼っているので、うちのニャンコちゃんとは仲良くできました。
