fermi: shrink to fit／縮めてちょうど

i was looking for polo shirts for this summer but i could not find good one. there was a couple of polo shirts that i was interested in but i wanted to look for more. well, i could not find..... so, i bought a couple of polo shirts from untold and fermi along with white long sleeve shirt and thermal long sleeve t. i always wear t-shirt, sweat shirt or something very much casual and have round neck. but recently, i am shifting to wear ones with collars.

夏用にポロ・シャツを探していたんですが良いのが見つからず。一応、2点ほど気に入っていたのはあったんですが、とりあえずはもう少し探してみたかったわけです。でも、結局見つからず・・・。と言うわけで、アントールドとフェルミのポロ・シャツ、ついで白い長袖シャツとワッフル地の長袖ｔを購入。普段はｔシャツやスウェットなどカジュアルな感じ、丸首のものをよく着ているんですが、最近は襟付きのものへとシフトしつつあります。

fermi polo shirt was bit longer, so i washed and put it in the dryer. result?? perfect fit!! one of the good things about using dryer is that you can shrink your clothes to fit if they are large for you. however, the dryer may also shrink your best-size favorite ones, so you have to be really careful.

フェルミのポロ・シャツはちょっと長かったので、洗濯して乾燥機に。結果?? バッチリ!! 乾燥機を使用する良い点の１つとしては、服が大きかった場合に縮められるということ。ですが、お気に入りのちょうどのサイズの服までも縮めてしまう場合があるため、充分気をつけなければなりません。

is this "pure" honey??

we use honey when we drink coffee at home. we've been doing so ever since we were in the states. today, i saw the new about "pure" honey. according to the news, national honey fair trade council conducted survey on members' pure honey and found out that 20% of examined honey contained sweetners. it's not "pure" honey at all..... if you compare the sweetner added honey to pure honey, you can notice the difference as the color of the first one is lighter than the latter one because of the additive. however, since i cannot differentiate which one is the pure one, i cannot compare. besides, i've heard that color would be different by its raw material.....

我が家ではコーヒーを飲む時にはちみつを使用しています。アメリカにいた時からずっと。で、今日、「純粋」はちみつに関するニュースを見たわけです。ニュースによると、全国はちみつ公正取引協議会が、会員が製造している純粋はちみつに対して調査を行ったところ、20％が加糖はちみつだったそうです。これは「純粋」はちみつじゃないということになりますね・・・。加糖はちみつと純粋はちみつを見比べれば、糖類が加えられているために前者の方が色が薄いそうです。でも、どれが純粋か分からないので、比べようもありません。しかも、原材料によって色も違うって以前に聞いたこともありますし・・・。

been getting psyched up!!

again, it's nice out today. to me, it's the best season of the year; moderate temperature and less humidity. the climate like this simply makes me feel better and better.

今日もまた良い天気ですね。程よい気温と少ない湿気、自分にとっては一年の中で最高な時期。こんな天候が単純に気持ちよくさせてくれます。

the weather's been really nice!

i met up with my wife in shinjuku and looked for a place to eat in west exit area. but there were many diner-like places where smoking is not allowed, and we did not want to go to "izakaya" places, so we had to wonder around..... finally, we found a chinese restaurant. anyway, we have to admit the fact that smokers are pushed to the side.....

うちの奥さんと新宿で落ち合い、西口付近で食べるところを探しに。ですが、禁煙のカウンター型のお店が多く、しかも居酒屋系には入りたくなかったため、ウロウロ歩き回る羽目に。やっとの思いでチャイニーズ・レストランを発見したのでありました。それにしても、喫煙者が脇に追いやられているという状況は受け入れなければならないようですな・・・。

don't go anywhere.....

i haven't been able to work on it for about a week. i want to finish it as soon as possible and move onto the next mix cd. i have several ideas experimental/underground, mellow/mid-tempo house, pop house, etc. but have to choose one from them. well, whatsoever, i'd better finish the one i'm working on now first, before i get tired of it. i have already finished selecting tracks and programming the track order. i have to check the mixing points and stuff again, and after that, all i need is 80-minute concentration.

ここ1週間ほど手を付けられないでいます。すぐにでも終わらせて次のミックスcdに入りたいんですがね。エクスペリメンタル／アンダーグラウンド、メロウ／ミッド・テンポ・ハウス、ポップなハウスなど、幾つかアイデアはあるんですが、兎にも角にも飽きる前に今作業中のものを仕上げるのが先決ですな。選曲と曲順は既に終わっていてるんです。もう一度ミックスのポイントなどを確認したら、あとは80分間の集中力が必要なだけ。

you were outbidded

today, i placed bids on the ebay auction by sniping. I wasn't expecting that the price would go much higher but it did..... since i was sniping, there wasn't much time left to raise the bidding price. actually, i did three times though. at last, i was gonna place high bid (still cheaper than retail price) but auction ended. i was really pissed off.....

今日、イーベイ・オークションでスナイピングしたわけです。で、まさか値段がそんなに上がるとは思っていなかったわけで、実際はと言うと値段が上がり・・・。スナイピングしていたために残り時間がほとんど無く、それでも3回くらい速攻で入札したんです。最後に高い値段（それでも小売価格よりは安い）を入れようとしたんですが、オークション修了しちゃいました。もう、がっくし・・・。

no chicago house??

yesterday, i toured several record shops to find some chicago house records (yes, i'm still using records..., not cds, not mp3s, etc.). however, they barely had those records. there were so many of tech-house, progressive house, deep house, tribal house, latin house and so on but only a few of chicago house. i was very much curious about the fact. is this because chicago house is not so popular in japan?? i also check the web sites of those record shops. i sometimes find chicago house but most of the time, they are sold out.

昨日、シカゴ・ハウス系のレコード（はい、cdでもなければmp3でも他でもなく、未だにレコードを使用）を探しに幾つかのレコ屋さん巡りをしたわけです。ですが、シカゴ・ハウスのレコードはほとんど無し。テック・ハウスやプログレッシブ・ハウス、ディープ・ハウスやトライバル・ハウス、ラテン・ハウスなどは沢山あったんですが、シカゴ・ハウスはほんの数枚。この状況が非常に気になりました。それって、もしかして日本ではシカゴ・ハウスの人気が無いからなんでしょうか?? レコ屋さんのサイトもチェックしてみたりしているんですが、見つけたと思ったら売り切れだったり。

by the way, what is "epic house"?? i should have listened some of them at the shops.....

ところで、「エピック・ハウス」って何なんですか?? お店で試聴してみれば良かった・・・。

gotta be comfy

my wife was up for taking a core training class, so i went out too to cut my hair. actually, i was looking forward to finding one on the streets while walking streets; however, most of the places i saw was on upstairs which mean i cannot see the inside unless i go upstairs. what did i do?? you know, i just passed them by. later, i met up with my wife and had some bagels. and then, we headed for window shopping.

うちの奥さんがコア・トレーニングのクラスに行くというので、髪を切ろうと一緒に外出。実のところ、適当に通りを歩いていて何気に見つけたところにでも入ろうと考えていたんですが、ほとんどはビルの2階以上のところにあったため、ぱっと見で中を見ることができず。で、どうしたかって?? 通り過ぎたわけであります。その後に奥さんと落ち合い、ベーグルを食べた後にウィンドウ・ショッピング。

we walked through back streets, stopped by at some shops, checked some stuff and got out. finally, we headed for the laboratory 'cause i wanted to buy shoes. there, again they didn't have the ones i wanted but i found interested ones. since they weren't the ones i wanted, we got out there. but my wife said that i'm gonna regret that, so we went there again and bought them.

路地裏を歩き、お店に立ち寄り、商品をチェックし、そして次へ。最終的にはシューズを買いたかったためにラボラトリーへ。またもや欲しかったシューズはなかったんですが、代わりになかなかのものを発見。でも欲しかったものではなかったため、ラボラトリーを出たわけです。その直後、後悔するよとの奥さんの助言によって、再びラボラトリーに行って購入するに至ったのでありました。
