hot means wet

i have sweaty palms, which is strange, and they are always kinda wet during summer season. everything i touch for a period of time, such as computer mouse, becomes sticky because of sweat from my palms. i really hate that but there's nothing i can do. so, i have to wash my hands every once in a while in order to prevent whatever i touch for a period of time become sticky.....

変なんですが、自分の掌は汗っかきなんですよね。それで夏場なんかはいつも湿っているような状態。ある一定の時間触っているモノ、例えばコンピュータのマウスなどは掌からの汗でベトベトになってしまいます。どうしようもなく嫌いなことなんですが、だからと言って何ができるわけでもないんですよね。で、ベトベトにならないよう、時折手を洗わなければならなりません・・・。

besides, it seems like sweat from my wrist contains really strong substance, and if i wear cheap watch with metal/steel band, it becomes eroded within one summer season.....

更には、手首からの汗には何か強い成分が含まれているようで、安物の鉄／スチールのバンドが付いた時計などを着けると、ひと夏の間にバンド部分が腐食してしまうのです・・・。

is it good or bad?

i'm always surprised by the ever-changing internet world although there's always the consideration of whether or not it is good. and google map's street view has started in the select cities in the us.

i assume most of you did look for where you live (or had lived) when google map/google earth came out, of course, i did it too. and this time, i looked for where i used to live, and here it is. the apartment was still there but the our customized blind had been changed.....

それがよいか悪いかと考慮すべき部分はあるものの、絶え間なく変化するインターネットの世界には常に驚かされます。それでグーグル・マップのストリート・ビューが米国内の複数の都市で始まりましたね。

グーグル・マップ／グーグル・アースが出てきた時、恐らくはほとんどの人が自分が住んでいる（ないしは住んでいた）ところをチェックしたのではないでしょうか。勿論、自分もチェックしました。それで今回は、以前に住んでいたところチェックしまして、出てきたのが上の写真。まだアパートはありましたが、カスタム・オーダーのブラインドは取り替えられていました・・・。

college became university now

my school where i was graduated from was a "college" but i just found out that they became "university," which surprised me a lot!! i found out about that while i was refering to graduate degrees. although i think there are no differences in college and university as long as what you would like to study is available but i always had kinda like inferiority to my friends and my wife as most of them were graduated from "university." but now, i guess i get relief from such inferiority!!

自分が卒業した学校は「カレッジ（大学）」だったんですが、それが現在では「ユニバーシティ（総合大学）」になっているのを発見。これには驚かされました!! 学士号に関してちょっと調べていた時に分かったことです。自分が学びたいものがその学校にある限り、それが「大学」であれ「総合大学」であれ違いは無いと思うのですが、それでも友達や奥さんに対する劣等感のようなものは持っていました。というのも、ほとんどが「ユニバーシティ」を卒業していたからです。でも今は、そういった劣等感のようなものから解放された感じ!!

miles to come+play in july

underground house legend miles maeda will come and play (twice) in japan in july. i finally will be able to get to see him djing after long years since i saw him in the us!! however, i'm gonna have to go see him alone as my wife will be in the us during the month of july..... too bad that i don't have friends in tokyo, i mean those who would go clubs with me.....

アンダーグラウンド・ハウス・レジェンドのマイルス・マエダが7月に来日、プレイ（2回）。最後に彼のdjプレイを米国で見て以来、随分と久しぶりですが、とうとう機会が来た!! しかしながら、うちの奥さんは7月中渡米しているので一人で行かなければならない状態・・・。クラブに一緒に行くような友達がいないのが残念でなりません・・・。

starts from today!!

as today is the first day of the month, i will start my dietary limitation. i need to officially announce it in order to keep up my motivation and get going. i'm hoping to become healthier by the end of rainy season.

this is the best fancy meat/variety meat!! it's hot+spicy but a bit sweet with soft texture. the point is to bloil with a lot of cabbage. and of course, add tofu. thanks, the manager nkjm. my parents used to go there a lot.

最高のホルモン鍋!! 薬味がきいて辛みがあり、それでいて少し甘みもあって身も柔らかい。ポイントは沢山のキャベツと一緒に焼くこと。nkjmマネージャー、アリガトね。うちの両親も以前はよく食べに行っていたみたいです。

bank of japan automatic pencil

i found an interesting thing on the table. i think this is a novelty automatic pencil from bank of japan, or could be sold at bank of japan as a souvenir. as you can see, the inside of the pencil is filled up with shredded bank bills, which is pretty interesting.

テーブルに面白いモノが置いてあるのを発見。恐らくは日本銀行のノベルティ、ないしは日本銀行でお土産として売っているシャープ・ペンシルであろうかと。ご覧のように、シャープ・ペンシルの中には細断された紙幣がいっぱい。面白い。

just got back

just got back from week long visit to my hometown. i think i could refresh pretty much there. thanks to my parents and friends who all spared time for me. now, i have to face back to the real life.....

1週間の帰省から戻りました。充分リラックスすることができたと思います。時間を割いてくれた両親や友人たち、アリガト。さてと、これからは現実の生活に戻らなければなりませんね・・・。

pheasant condition as of yesterday: still holding eggs. i checked it this morning, and it was still the same. as pheasant is a national bird of japan, we can do nothing but just watching.

昨日の時点でのキジの状況：依然として卵を温めています。今朝もチェックしたのですが、変わりはありませんでした。キジは国鳥なので、見守っている以外どうすることもできないんですよね。

i tried not to eat too much while i was in my hometown, and actually, i did it but i gained..... so, i have to have dietary regulation from tomorrow. be careful about metabolic syndrome!!

帰省している間は食べ過ぎないように注意していまして、実際のところ、食べ過ぎなどは無かったんですが体重は増えてしまいました・・・。と言うわけで、明日からは食事制限しなければなりませんな。メタボリック症候群には気をつけよう!!

this is a mole path/tunnel i found this morning in the front yard. pretty wild, huh!! by the way, i now hear my mom playing ukulele, nice bgm. time goes by very slowly here...... we eat dinner at 5-6pm..... in case of my dad, he goes to bed at around 9pm and wakes up at around 4am. he's living with the sun and nature.

これは今朝、前庭で見つけたモグラの通り道／トンネル。まさに自然!! 今、後ろでは母親がウクレレをプレイ中。良いbgmですな。ここでは時間がゆっくりと過ぎていきます・・・。晩ご飯を食べるのは夕方の5～6時頃・・・。父の場合、夜の9時には寝て朝の4時には起床。太陽、自然と一緒に生活。
