this year had been a lot different from past years i spent, and i had spent this year a lot differently comparing to the past years. the main reason was the relocation to tokyo. i think this year was fulfilling year. i could get to know a lot of new people. my wife's life had totally changed; she spent busy busy days but she got advanced a lot. and our kitty kitty could get used to live in the new place (she seems quite fine as long as she stays with us). anyway, i would like to say thank you so much!
i'm wishing next year will be more fulfilling for all of us. and i'm hoping you people out there have a good year!
今年は去年までと全く違った年となり、過ごし方もこれまでと全く違ったものとなりました。東京に引っ越したというのが一番の理由です。今年は充実した年だったんじゃないか、と。沢山の人と知り合うこともできました。うちの奥さんの生活も一変し、とても忙しい日々を送るようになりましたが、その分かなり飛躍できたようです。そして、うちのニャンコちゃんも新しい場所にすっかりと慣れたようです（うちらがいる限りは問題ない様子）。今年一年、本当に有難うございました！

the same topic continues from yesterday. i'm not sure whether or not i'm getting better. it seems like this is not a cold but a light flu (again, i'm not sure if there's any light flu). as you know, we are in the flu season, so be careful.

i caught a cold few days ago, and i was expceting myself to be better by this morning; however, the cold unexpectedly struck again. sore throat and coughing are the main symptom of cold. so i'm drinking hot ginger drink. it seems like my body is trying to push out all the bad things accumulated in this year in my body before turning into the new year.
数日前に風邪を引いたわけなんですが、今日の朝くらいには良くなっているだろうと思っていたんですよね。しかしながら、予想に反してぶり返してしまったようです。主な症状はのどの痛みとせき。と言うわけで、暖かい生姜ドリンクを飲んでいます。何かあれですね、新年になる前に身体が今年1年で蓄積された悪いものを排除しようとしているような、そんな感じがします。

after spending about a week to consider which one to get, i decided to go with the udg slingbag trolley deluxe. as far as the description of this product is concerned, none of any websites wrote that it comes with two cd cases, so i was pretty surprised when i found the cases in the bag. i was about to order those cd cases at another online store but they were out of stock. well, i'm glad i didn' order. come to think of the name of the product, it's "deluxe," no wonder it comes w/ the cases.
anyway, trolley rules, man! it's so easy to carry around, and wheels are so quiet when you carry around. furthermore, it actually fits in the overhead compartment of the airplane (but you have to empty the front pocket). with about 60 records and 48 cds (you can put 24 cds in each case), i don't think you would have any problems in any situations.
どのバッグを購入しようかと1週間ほど検討した後、udgのスリングバッグ・トロリー・デラックスに決めました。サイトの商品説明を見る限りではcdケースがついてくるという記載がなかったので、バッグの中にケースを見つけた時は驚きでしたね。で、ケースだけを他のオンライン・ストアでオーダーしようとしてたんですが在庫切れだったんですよ。でもオーダーしなくて良かった～。まぁ商品の名称を考えてみれば、「デラックス」とあるわけですからケースがついてくるのも当たり前っちゃぁ当たり前かな、と。
と言うわけで、トロリーは良いっすね！ 持ち運ぶのも凄い簡単だし、タイヤの音もとても静かです。それで飛行機のオーバーヘッド・コンパートメントにも実際ぴったりと収まります（ただし、前ポケットは空にしなければなりませんが）。レコードが60枚程度とcdが48枚（それぞれのケースにcdが24枚入ります）もあれば、とりあえずはどんな状況でも問題はないでしょう。

after being a partner with marlboro reds for more than 15 years, i transitioned to golds (that is marlboro lights). i'm not sure how long i will stick with this but i will attempt to go with it for a while. well, part of the reason i changed was that i caught a cold..... it seems like the color of gold will bring good luck.

in order to partake in red party held at lounge roots, we flew there on thursday.
since we stayed at plaza hotel premier , we went by to ticro market to say hello to the staffs as the store located right across the street, and edani the staff told us that there was a party where our friends, ta-chan (tatsuishi of amazonas) who is also a ticro staff, was playing at a party at rooms . so after spending less than an hour to check the sound and system at lounge roots, we headed to the party at rooms. omg, the party was owesome!! ta-chan's play was accompanied with live percussion play by tada-san of spooky. it was like an unit, just great. we danced, danced and danced. i remembered that we went to the legendary dj-bar, ritz spooky mix owned by tada-san. thanks for the invitation, ta-chan!!
ラウンジ・ルーツで開催されたレッド・パーティー参加のため、うちの奥さんと一緒に先週の木曜日に来福（帰福？）。
滞在先のホテルがプラザ・ホテル・プルミエ
だったので、道を挟んで真向かいにあるチクロ・マーケット
に立ち寄ってスタッフに挨拶。ここでスタッフのエダニー（エダニ君）から、同じくスタッフであり友人のたーちゃんがrooms
でプレイするとの情報を入手。と言うわけでルーツで小一時間ほどチェック等を行った後にroomsに直行。いやぁ、パーティーは凄かった!! たーちゃんのプレイはスプーキーのタダさんによるパーカッション付き。それはまるでユニットの様な感じでもう最高。もうコレでもかって言うくらいに踊りまくる。その昔、タダさんがオーナーだった伝説のdjバー、リッツ・スプーキー・ミックスに何度か行ったことを思い出しました。たーちゃん、インビテーション有難う!!
on friday, we went to tenjin area to look for something red which my wife would put on. and after spending a couple of hours, she got some (it's always amazing that she can find whatever she's looking for within the limited time). then after having late lunch and coffee, we headed back to the hotel and relaxed for a while.
we went to the venue at around 10, and thanks to the owner, i drank and drank. i had two one-hour sets, and i really had good time (so did the people came over). not sure but i may be back in the late february next year.
金曜日はうちの奥さんが身に付ける赤いものを探しに天神地区へ。で、2時間ほどブラブラした後で幾つか入手（限られた時間の中でいつも探しているものを見つけてしまうんですよね、凄い）。
で、10時くらいに現場入りで、オーナーのご好意によりお酒をがぶ飲み。1時間ほどのセットを2回やったんですが、楽しかったです（お客さんもそうだと良いのですが）。まだ、はっきりしていないんですが、もしかしたら来年の2月下旬にも行くかも、です。

for this coming friday, i have been burning tracks on vinyls to cd-rs. since i don't know much about how to do that, nor do i have tools, i did the simple work. first, i record tracks on vinyls to cd-rw with audio cd recorder connected to mixer. then i put the cd-rw into pc and convert the data to wave files to be able to edit. i said edit but it's very simple; all i do is to cut out blank spaces right before tracks start and right after tracks end ( i wish i could eliminate noises.....). due to the fact that i do it mannually by pressing rec button on the recorder, there are always blank spaces, so i need to cut out blanks. i then burn tracks to cd-rs.
the last step is to create track information. since i barely recognize tracks by titles or artists (except for the obvious ones) but sleeve designs, i take pictures of them. i put images along with titles and artists onto cds, print it out and the process ends.
今週末の金曜日のため、レコードの曲をcd－rに入れる作業をコツコツと。ただ、やり方を良く知らないし、ツールも持っていないため、作業そのものは単純なやり方。まずはミキサーに繋げているオーディオcdレコーダーでレコードの曲をcd－rwに録音。次にそのcd－rwをpcに入れ、編集のためにデータをウェーブ・ファイルに変換。編集と書きましたが大層なものではなく、至って単純な編集で、曲の頭と終わりのブランク部分を削除するだけです（ノイズを消したりとかできたらなぁ・・・）。レコーダーの録音ボタンをマニュアルで押して録音するため、どうしてもブランクができちゃうんですよね。だから、ブランク削除の作業が必要になるわけです。で、編集した曲をcd－rに焼く。
最後のステップは曲情報。（明らかなものは除いて）タイトルやアーティスト名では曲を覚えられず、ジャケットのデザインで判断していることが多いため、ジャケットの写真を撮るわけです。それで画像にタイトルとアーティスト名を加えてcd上に落としてプリントし、これで一連の作業が終了。

this time, i didn't compress the data but i wonder how much compressed data such as mp3 sounds different from original source when you play at clubs..... is it too obvious? i don't know..... if you know, please let me know.
今回はデータを圧縮しませんでしたが、クラブなどでプレイした場合にmp3などの圧縮データってどれくらい元々の音源と違うもんなんですかね・・・。やっぱり、はっきりと違うんでしょうか？ 僕には分かりません・・・。ご存知の方いらっしゃったら、教えてください。
