it's been a long time since the last post. and it's been really cold these days. are you ready for the cold winter?

久しぶりとなりました。で、寒くなりましたね。皆さん、冬支度はできましたか？

so, i had some time off from what i've been doing, and used that time to convert record data to wma data and burned the data to cds. reducing the amount of records that i carry around was the reason but i just realized that if i had some space in my record bag, then i would put more records to fill the space. so, the total weight would not change..... oh, i have to buy needles sometime soon.

と言うわけで、ちょっと時間があったのでレコードの曲を取り込み、それからcdに焼く作業を。持ち歩くレコードの量を減らすためだったんですが、レコード・バッグにスペースができた分、更にレコードを詰め込むことになるんですよね。結局のところ、バッグの重量は変わらず・・・。あ、そろそろ針を買わなければ。

let's take a break

my wife came back from a week trip to phoenix, az, and brought many souvenirs. i just realized that i haven't had chocolates for a while, so it's a good timin'. and of course, joe, java, coffee. my favorite one, yes, hazelnut!

うちの奥さんが1週間のフェニックス・トリップから帰国。で、お土産色々。しばらくチョコレート類を食べていないことに気付いたんでグッタイミン。勿論、コーヒーも。大好きなヘーゼルナッツ！

this one, there's no package but it's really good; heath layered hershey's cookies.

コレ、パッケージはないんですがなかなか美味しい。ヒース・レイヤードのハーシーズ・クッキー。

by the way, i'm still wearing shorts at home because i don't wanna admit the fact that we're in the middle of fall and winter is just around the corner..... i just don't like cold weather.

話は変わりますが、家にいるときは未だにショーツです。と言うのも、秋真っ只中で冬がもうそこまで来ているという状況を受け入れたくないから・・・。寒いの、苦手なんですよね。

these days.....

it's been really mad hectic these days. but my wife and i could make some time off the schedule and had dinner in ebisu on the last saturday night. there, we enjoyed various kinds of foods w/ beef tongue. after that, we took a walk to nishi-azabu, checked buildings along the streets and stopped by at a shrine and prayed. i really enjoyed the relaxed moment.

あれやこれやと慌しい感じですが、時間を作ってうちの奥さんと一緒に恵比寿で牛タン料理を堪能。その後、散歩がてらに西麻布まで徒歩移動。途中、道沿いにある様々なビルをチェックし、神社にお参りなどを。リラックスした時間を楽しむことができました。

e.pi:cafe

i heard that the originator/pioneer/innovator of the cafe with dj booth in fukuoka, e.pi:cafe will be closed in a month or so. ever since 244 of ticro market introduced to me, i had gone to the cafe so many times. there, many dj's of many genres played every night (still?), and it was such a great place to hang out. i still remember that imanaka-san, the one half of the owners of the cafe, passionately played the percussion to the music at late night.

but at the same time, i also heard that the cafe will be relocated to somewhere. and i hope so.

福岡でのdjブース付カフェの先駆者、エピ・カフェがあと1ヵ月くらいで閉店するという話を耳にしました。チクロ・マーケット の244君に紹介してもらって以来、よく足を運んだものです。そこでは毎夜毎夜、様々なジャンルの多くのdjがプレイしており（今も？）、ハング・アウトするには最高の場所でした。深夜にはオーナーの今中さんが音楽に合わせて情熱的にパーカッションを叩いている姿を今でも覚えています。

一方、どこかに場所を変えるという話も。そうだといいんだけど。

bohemian swing

i don't know much about the guitar, and today, i had a chance to listen to a person playing the guitar. oh man, i only listened to it for only several minutes and i really loved the guitar sound. it looked like regular acoustic guitar but the sound was totally different. it sounded like the mixture of acoustic and electronic guitar sounds (of course, the guitar was not plugged to amplifier). so, i asked the person what kind of the guitar it was, and the person told me that this type of guitar was used for bohemian swing or bohemian jazz (what a cool name!) in 30's and 40's. his guitar was made in france. gotta dig the music!

ギターについてはほとんど知識はありません。で、今日はギターを弾く様子を見ることができました。ほんの数分程度しか聴けなかったんですが、そのギターの音色にはまってしまいました。見た目は普通のアコースティック・ギターに見えたんですが、音色は全然違うものでした。アコースティックとエレキが混ざったような、不思議で引き寄せられるような音だったんですよ（勿論、アンプに繋いでいたわけではありません）。で、尋ねてみたところ、このタイプのギターは1930年代～40年代にボヘミアン・スイングやボヘミアン・ジャズ（名前がかっこいい！）などで使われていたとのこと。彼のギターはフランス製でした。ちょっと音楽を調べてみよう！

household arts

today, i did laundries (including some blankets and cushions), vacuumed the floor and pressed irons on shirts, which i hadn't done for some time due to the fact i didn't have time (yes, that's an excuse. I know). i was going to organize messed up things; however, i couldn't finish.

i think we came to the point where we need to get rid of unused or unnecessary things as the rooms are filled with a lot of things. but i don't like getting rid of things. quite simply, i had experienced that after got rid of the things, situations where i needed those things arose.

anyway, household things will never ends.

今日は洗濯（ブランケットやクッションなども）、そして久しぶりに掃除やシャツのアイロンがけなどを。なかなか時間がなくてね～（勿論、言い訳なのは分かっています）。ごちゃごちゃになった物の整理整頓も行うはずだったんですが、これはできず。

いい加減、使っていない物や必要のないものを処分しなければならないところまで来ているようです。ですが、処分するのって苦手なんですよね。至極単純に処分した物に限って、その後に必要な状況が出てきたことがあったから。

それにしても、家事に終わりはありませんね。

dead tired and drunk

when i woke up yesterday noon, i didn't feel good. i was up for about a couple of hours and then slept again. later, i woke up because i was really feeling sick with nervous sweat. in the next several hours, i could not move at all, still sweating. it was not like hangover, and at that time, i was really concerned about what's gonna happen but i could almost recorvered by the time i went to deja vu.

and when i recovered, what i really wanted to have was..., miso soup.

昨日のお昼に起きた時、凄く気分が悪かった。2時間ほど起きていたんですが、再び寝ることに。その後、あまりの気分の悪さと脂汗のために目が覚めました。起きた後も数時間は全く動くことができない状態。二日酔いとも違った感じで一時はどうなることかと心配していたんですが、デジャヴに行く頃にはほぼ回復。

で、回復した時に口にしたかったのが・・・、味噌汁でした。
