and here are the famous "yang's fry-dumpling" i heard that the owner was asked to open the restaurant in roppongi hills but he refused as the recipe might leak..... not to mention but they were delicious!! yummy!!!
this is the photo i took but i don't remember where i took the photo.... but it looks like very much china!!
これは自分で撮った写真ですが、どこかで撮影したかは忘れました・・・。でも、すごく中国って感じ!!
lunch at a restaurant near the hotel we stayed. chow mein with shrimp and vegetable, deep fried chicken / rise cake kinda stuff, i don't know how to say it in english but like steamed dumplings with juice and soup. how much we paid for all of them?? guess how much?? less than 1,000 yen!! can you believe that??
oh well, something has happened to me since i came back to japan. i don't know what happened but all of a sudden, i feel like i got old, irritated and kinda depressed..... am i get spoiled? but who did to me? anyway, i need to turn my head to positive side!!
it's been a while since i posted an entry last time..... i just got back from shanghai business trip. definitely hoping the things to be going well!! anyway, shanghai was like full of energy. a lot of constructions are underway..... i went there with my colleague who are from shanghai and he told me that everytime he goes back to shanghai there is always new building. understood.
as soon as the taxi stopped right in front of the market and i paid the fair, about 10 people came to the car, opened the doore and drag me up from the car to take me to their warehouse. i was kinda shocked but soon i realized..... so, i just went to the place where we were supposed to meet. not to mention but they followed me and kept talking me to go to warehouse. my colleague told them that we would go to restaurant. they said that they would wait in front of the restaurant.
apart from what i shocked about the department store previously posted, i am preparing for the bis. trip. this (refer to the picture above) is tri-band gsm cellular phone which can be used in most major countries in the world, except for japan and korea. this is sonnyericsson model but is pretty old by now.
the best part of this phone is that, by changing the sim card (two small cards on the phone are sim card: above is for england and below is for the us), local calling rate in each country is applied. so, it is very cheap to make phone calls not only within the country but overseas!! there are many japanese cellular phones that can be used in overseas but the calling rate is so high..... as far as the calling rate is concerned, you can't beat gsm.
recently, i got 10,000yen worth of gift coupons which can only be used at department stores. so, i went to a department store near my office to check out some business shirts. actually, i was expecting to buy one shirt with the coupons. i found some good ones but the price tags said.....14,800yen!! oops. i looked at some other shirts but i was too afraid to see their price tags. well, it made me very aware
that 10,000yen at department stores worth not so much.
as the title says... it's the quantity, not the quality, besides, cheapter the better, you know? we are the mass consumers!! i mean i am talking about wine.....
as you can see, it's getting messy..... all i do at this moment is try not to be more than this. but at some point, i have to clean up. i admit that we do have a lot of stuff, many kinds of stuff, there may be some stuff that we don't know..... i guess we are just in the middle of this consuming society. the fact is, it's so easy to mess up, !! and it takes hours to clean up.....
i took a cab to go back home the other night (the night i bought records). as usual, i pulled up my wallet from back pocket of my pants, paid the fare, put it back in the pocket and got into my house. and then i listened to the records i bought, had some drinks and fell asleep.
it was around 1:30am, i was waken up 'cause i heard that my wife was talking to someone over the phone, and she sounded serious. yes, she was serious 'cause she was talking to police officer!! i was like "whatta f**k is going on!!" she covered the phone and asked me... "where is your wallet?" so, i reached to the place where i usually put my wallet at and i noticed there's no wallet there.....
yes, i lost my wallet, and the phone call was from the police. the officer told my wife that they would hold it until 8:30am and then the wallet was going to be transferred to another place. so, i slept again but i could not sleep as i was so worried about whether or not everyhing would be in the wallet, so we took a cab to the police station.
at the police station, i filled out some papers and i got my wallet back. lucky enough, everything was in the wallet!! how lucky i am, don't you think?? mr. driver, thank you so much!! not to mention i thanked the driver so much later.
well... i got nothing to say but..... am i sneaking in? they just let me in?? what??? it's like they keep pushing me to the edge. or is it just my imagination???? then what am i doing there????? i got persecution complex.....
