recently, i got 10,000yen worth of gift coupons which can only be used at department stores. so, i went to a department store near my office to check out some business shirts. actually, i was expecting to buy one shirt with the coupons. i found some good ones but the price tags said.....14,800yen!! oops. i looked at some other shirts but i was too afraid to see their price tags. well, it made me very aware
that 10,000yen at department stores worth not so much.
最近、1万円相当の百貨店でのみ使用可能なギフト券を頂きました。それで、ワイシャツをチェックしにオフィス近所にある百貨店に行ったのです。実のところ、このギフト券でシャツ1枚買えると思ってました。良さげなシャツを見つけ、値札を見たところ、1万4800円という数字が!! あちゃぁ～。他のシャツも見て回りましたが、値札を見る勇気はありませんでした。百貨店では、1万円の価値ってそれほど高くないということを思い知らされました。
