ブータン旅行4・5日目 パロ Paro

ブータン旅行、4日目。

空港のあるパロに移動します。

The 4th day in Bhutan, we moved to Paro.

朝、ティンプーの街で少し買い物をしました。

Before that, we walked for shopping.

新しい大きな高級ホテルの前に、ずらーっと並ぶ工芸品の店。

ざっと３０軒近くの店があります。

うれしいのは、学校の後輩たちに会えたこと。

当時は学生同士でしたが、自分の店を持って立派に働いている様子は頼もしいものでした。

少しでもお店の経営の足しになれば、と買い物をするのですが、頼んでもないのに、負けてくれちゃうの。。。

いいのよ、わたし。お金持ちじゃないけど、このくらいは大丈夫。

　お茶飲む？いらないの？わかった、お茶いらないんだね。

と言って彼が買ってきてくれたのは、アップルジュース。

気を使うなよぉ。

でも、うれしい。

In front of new big hotel, there are many craft shops. I met some classmates here.

They are running their own shops. It's great pleasure to know that they are building their own business.

I wanted to support thein business, I shopped in their shops. However, they gave me discount even I didn't ask. One of them said

"Have some tea. You don't want? You don't want tea?"

He ran to get apple juice for me.

Please don't spend money for me! But I was happy with his hospitality.

左からヒンドゥ式、チベット式、ブータン式と、３つの塔が並ぶチュゾムを通ってパロへ。

At Chuzom, you can see 3 chortens, which are Hindu, Tibetan and Bhutanese style frome the left.

ブータンといえば、キチュ・ラカン。

かどうかはわかりませんが、どうしてもわたしがお参りしたかったお寺です。

８世紀にソンツェン・ギェンポがチベット圏に建てた１０８のお寺のうち今も残っているのは３つだけ。

ラサのジョカン寺と、ブータンのブムタンのジャンベ・ラカンと、このキチュ・ラカンです。

I didn't want to miss Kichu Lakhan monastery. This is very special temple established 8th century.

ドゥゲルへドライブ。

右手に岩山の上に建つ寺院が見えます。

岩肌の部分を拡大すると・・・

タクツァン僧院です。

今回は道路から手をあわせるだけでしたが、次回はタクツァンも行きたいなぁ。

あとからあとから、次の旅の行きたいところリストがふくれあがります。

This time, we just pray from the road for Taktsang monastery. Next time, I want to visit here,too.,

Already, I have long list to go next time.

お屋敷を改築したガンテパレス・ホテル。　

お部屋もかわいくて、お気に入りのホテルです。

あっという間に時間がすぎて、とうとう、５日目。ブータンを出発する日の朝があけてしまいました。

We stayed in Gangtey Palace Hotel. This is my favorite hotel which was old mansion.

And finally, the last morning in Bhutan had come.

ホテルの真向かいに見えるパロのリンポン・ゾンが朝日に浮かびあがります。

あぁ。帰るんだなぁ。

The sun rise was so beautiful.

I didn't want to believe taht I'm leaving Bhutan.

今回の旅行では、まだ日程の半分を残していた３日目に、とても感傷的な気分になりました。

ブータンにいることがとてもしっくりきているのに、滞在期間がとても短くて、会いたい人みんなと会えない、行きたいところ全部はまわれない。

あぁ、すでにブータンにホームシック

On the third day of this tour, I was so emotional.

I felt very natural to be in Bhutan. However, time is too short to see all the people who I want to see. I can't visit all the places where I want to go. I already felt homesick to Bhutan.

パロを発つときも、さびしい気持ちはありました。

でも、すでにひどく感傷的になった後だったこともあり、もっと落ち着いていました。

今回の旅行で、まだブータンとわたしの糸は切れていない、ブータンにはわたしの居場所がある、と感じられたことで、逆に「いつでもまた来られる」と思うようになったことが大きいようです。

When I was leaving Paro, I had felt sad of course. But, I already fell in sentimental emotion, I was more composed.

Now I know the relationship of I and Bhutan is solid. Now I know I can come back to Bhutan anytime I want. So I could be calm when I was leaving.

そして降り立ったバンコク。

あの、「Yes」のとき首をかしげるしぐさをあいかわらずタイ人にもしてしまったのですが、通じるはずもなく、はげしくアウェー感に襲われ、旅の仲間たちに笑われるというおまけつきでした。

And we reached Bangkok.

I again did the gesture of "Yes", even nobody understands in Thailand. My friends were laughing at me...

ウォンディ・ゾン火災 Wangduephodrang Dzong destroyed

ブータンの悲劇です。

ウォンディフォダン・ゾンが、焼失しました。

What a tragedy of Bhutan!

6月24日(日)　午後4時頃に出火し、約5時間で全焼してしまったそうです。

出火原因は、漏電によるものと見られるそうです。

The fire started around 4 pm on 24th June and it took only 5 hours to burn everything. The fire is suspected to have started from a short circuit.

多くのゾンがそうであるように、ウォンディ・ゾンも、見はらしのよい川の合流地点にそびえていました。

ウォンディ・ゾンは、とりわけ「威風堂々」という言葉が似合う、圧倒的な存在感のゾンです。

でも、その地形が、消火活動を困難にしました。

As many Dzongs are so, Wangdue Dzong towers on a hill where two rivers join. Out of many Dzongs, it had special glory majestic look.

However, the location made firefighting difficult.

1638年に建てられたウォンディ・ゾンは、シャブドゥン・ンガワン・ナムゲルが建てた多くのゾンのうち3番めに古いものだそうです。

ほかのゾンはトタン屋根になってしまい、ブータンの伝統的な板葺きの屋根を持つゾンは、ここだけでした。

火事の一報をうけた国王と第4代国王や大臣たちはすぐにウォンディに向かったそうです。

Wangdue Dzong was built by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1638 and third oldest Dzong. It was the only Dzong which has Bhutanese traditionalwooden roof.

Once receiving the news, His Majesty the King and His Majesty the forth king rush to the scene.

不幸中の幸いは、犠牲者が出なかったこと。

また、たまたまウォンディ・ゾンが改築中だったため、重要な経典などは運び出されていて無事だったそうです。

それでも、多くの貴重な経典や宝物が失われました。

The fortune of this tragedy is no casualties are reported.

And since the Dzong was under repairing, important treasures were relocated before the fire. Still many sacred treasures were lost.

わたしでも、ニュースを見ながら声が出ないほどショックでした。

ブータンの方たちの心の痛みはどれほどかと思います。

心からお悔やみ申し上げます。

I got shocked and couldn't talk when I knew this news.

I'm so sorry. I pray for Bhutan.

ブータン旅行3日目 プナカへ Punakha

ブータン３日目は、日帰りで、古都プナカへ。

The 3rd day of Bhutan, we went to Punakha.

右のポ・チュ（父川）と左のモ・チュ（母川）の合流点に建つ、プナカ・ゾン。

首都が季節ごとに移動していたころ、このプナカ・ゾンは冬の首都でした。

かつて夏の首都だったティンプーが1955年に固定の首都になってからも、プナカはブータン人が敬意を持っている大切な街です。

ポ・チュの上流には、氷河があります。

氷河特有の白濁した水が、透明なモ・チュの水とまざりあう様子が印象的です。

There is Punakha Dzong between Po chu and Mo chu. Po chu has white water from glacier. Two colors of water mix in front of Punakha Dzong.

ティンプーの標高は2400m、プナカは1400m。ティンプーよりもずっと暖かいので、亜熱帯の植物が生育しています。

プナカ・ゾンと言えば、ジャカランダ。

ちょうど花の季節にあたりました。

Thimphu's altitude is about 2400m, and Punakha's is about 1400m. Punakha's climate is warmer than Thimphu's. You can see tropical plants in Punakha. Jacaranda is one of those.

We visited just right time of Jacaranda flower.

ジャカランダは、中南米原産のノウゼンカズラ科の植物です。

桜のように、葉が出る前に花が咲くので、とても華やかな風景です。

Ｊａｃａｒａｎｄａ is a plant in the family Bignoniaceae, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Central and South America. Jacaranda blooms before leaves come out like cherry blossom. It is very gorgeous view.

ゾンの前の橋をわったって、まずは左手のゾン・チュ（ミニ・ゾン）にお参り。

その後、右手のプナカ・ゾンの長い階段を上ってゾンの中へ。

明るい日差しの中庭を通って、一番奥のお寺にお参りしました。

ここは、ポ・チュの上流の氷河湖の決壊で大きなダメージをうけ、10年ほど前に再建されたお寺です。

お堂の中は、美しい彫刻と彩色で埋め尽くされた、めくるめく仏教の世界。21世紀のブータンの仏教美術といえば、ここははずせない場所です。

同行者が刺繍教室の生徒さんたちなのをいいことに、壁画の釈迦八相図などを、しつこく説明しちゃったりしました。研修旅行ですから

At first, we visited Dzong Chu. Then, we went into Punakha Dzong. The main monastery was damaged with glacier lake crumble. When I came to Punakha first time, this monastery was under construction. The hall of this monastery is very beautiful and gorgeous with full of 21st century Bhutanese Buddhism art. You shouldn't miss to see this charm when you came to Bhutan.

I explained about the wall painting of the life of Buddha in detail to my companions. This was study tour, they should learn this. Anyway, I hope they weren't bored...

ゾンの窓から見たモ・チュ。

最近かけかえられたゾンの前の橋と、ジャカランダ。

この橋は、わたしがブータンに来た頃はつり橋でした。

2007年にわたしが帰国したころは、この橋へのかけかえ工事が始まったところでしたので、わたしも渡るのは初めて。

つり橋は、ゆらゆら揺れて、どーしても苦手。プナカ・ゾンが、気分的にとても行きやすくなりました

This bridge is new and this is my first time to across. I hate suspension bridge I welcome this new solid bridge. I feel easier to visit Punakha Dzong

この後、プナカのニュータウン、クルタンにあるお寺にもお参りしました。

古いチョルテン（仏塔）と、新しいお堂があるお寺です。

ここは、わたしが刺繍科の学生だった頃に、新しい方のお堂を建てていました。うちの学校は、よく、お寺の新築・改築をうけおいます。建物はたてませんが、その後の内装や仏像制作など、学校のすべての学科を総動員して、ＯＪＴが授業のかわりになります。わたしの同級生３人も、先生と一緒にここに住み込んで、仏像の衣やお堂の装飾品を作っていました。

わたしも、制作中におじゃましました。

その時、少しだけ刺繍させてもらったエプロンをしているマハカラ（大黒さま）が、お堂の中にいらっしゃいます。入口の左奥にある、人間と同じくらいのサイズの像がしている、黒い、三つ目の憤怒尊のデザインのエプロンです。左眉の中央あたりの黄色く塗りつぶしたあたりを、わたしが刺しました。個人的に、とってもうれしい記念になっているお寺です。

小坊主さんたちが勉強しているところを、ちょこっとのぞいてみました。

修行、頑張ってね。

We visited Kuru Lakhang.

The new building of this monastery is new. Many of my classmates worked here as OJT. I visited here several times. I embroidered a little on the apron of Mahakara. The middle part of left eyebrow is my part. Please watch well when you visited here next time.

道端で売っているきゅうりを食べてみたい！とのご要望にお応えして、帰路運転手のシェラブさんがきゅうりを選んでくれているところです。

子守をしながら店番していました。金ダライが、えじこになっているのが、なんだか、かわいくて！

日本で普通の細いきゅうりは、外国ではあまりみかけません。ブータンでも、きゅうりといえば、この太いタイプのものが普通です。

のどがかわいたときにおすすめの、ドライブのお供です。

１本20ニュル（約30円）ナリ。

On the way back to Thimphu, we had cucumber. Cucumbers in Japan are thinner than this, but the taste is same. I like to have this when I', driving.

これは、プナカに向かうときの出来事です。

ブータンの松ぼっくりは、でかい
ガイドのドルジさんと、運転手のシェラブさんのふたりがかりでとってくれました。

実は、ここは、急斜面の上。足をふみはずしたら、とても危ない場所でした。

松ぼっくりなんかで無理しないでぇ～！！

と言いつつ、もう少しで手が届きそう！とみんなでおおはしゃぎ。

楽しい思い出になりました。

これは、ブルーパインではなく、丸いタイプの松ぼっくり。

最終日には、パロでブルーパインの長細くて大きな松ぼっくり狩りもしました。

外国人ってへんてこなものを喜ぶなぁって、思っていることでしょう。

We were so attracted with big pine cone. Dorji the tour guide and Sherab the driver got a nice one for us.

It was on top of steep slope here. We were afraind of this location. However, we had big fun.

Another day in Paro, we got pine cones from blue pine. I'm sure they are wondering why foreigners want such a common thing.

行きは曇りだったドチュラは、帰りはだいぶ晴れていました。

この向こうに、万年雪の7000ｍ級のヒマラヤの山々があるのよ～！

と力説しましたが、やっぱり見ないと伝わりません。

ちょっと残念。

It was foggy on the way to Punakha but we had better view on the way back.

I explained "You can see white Himalaya mountains over there if it's clear !!"

I really wanted to show the beautiful mountains.
