MC : I think everyone does, because we never know, yeah, never got a clue, um... Final thing I'll ask you, as another retrospective one. I remember you being the you know the teenager that wasn't sure about how the music industry the world at large would be able to take to you being a, you know, you being gay, and now, you are obviously this unapologetic queer, you know, icon to so many, and also, I can tell very proud of where you're at with your, you know, your identity, and your connection to sexuality, and your connection to queerness. I wonder what you would say there is a kid who is like 15, 16, and in the same position that you were sort of 10, 12 years ago. You know, seeing all these unapologetic beautiful gay people doing beautiful gay things. What would you say to someone in that position in 2023?

Sivan : Um... I think, like the most important thing that I could say probably, is that, guaranteed 100%. There are people who will love, and not only love, but, like celebrate you for exactly who you are, and so, I think that, even if they're not around now, or even if that is not clear to you yet, or you haven't found them maybe yet, or they haven't found you yet, they 1,000% exist, and you're going to find them, so it's like, I think, it's really just about, you know, patience sometimes, and being like, kind to yourself, and being patient with yourself, and, um... you know, because, when you're that young, um... you don't have that much control over your surroundings, and your circumstances, and so I think, it's kind of like, I've lived it, and I know that it's out there. So just you know, like you know, be patient, I think.

Sivan : Yeah, I guess, we basically just like re said, it gets better, which like so annoying, because, it's like when, and you know, like I remember, because that campaign was huge, when I was like, yeah, remember coming in terms of my sexuality, and everything like that, and I remember thinking like, all right well, like I don't know, it's obviously easier said than done, and lived, you know.

I think so, yeah, I think, yeah, I mean, you know, what's interesting that is my, um... my perspective on the albums changes so much over time, like you know, I thought, 'Blue Neighborhood', you know, like when it's too close, it's out, but then, it's like, you know, too close, where it still feels. It just feels almost like, you're, it's not embarrassing but, it's like, oh, I was like 17 or 18, you know, like, when I wrote it, and all that, and I just feel like, now it's been long enough, where when people tell me that, they love that album. There's something really endearing to me about that, and I'm like, 'Wow, that's so cool!' that like you know, 19-year-old me, and however old, you connected back then in that way. And so, I sort of appreciate them all, for what they have done, and for what they you know have like meant to people, um... but I am definitely the most proud right now of this one, for sure.

Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record – Sivan’s first in five years – scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.

Sivan’s eight-minute, 17-second coming-out video is a rare thing, equal parts star power and vulnerable humanity. He had promised himself he would come out before signing a record deal, knowing it was the only way he could write music that would be completely honest. When pressed, he now says he briefly wondered if it might have lost him some young, infatuated female fans, but he “had no other choice.
