ハマボウの群生と、顕彰碑 ： A colony of hamabou and a monument

島田島の北端、田尻浜には、ハマボウが群生が見られます。　　大きく成長したハマボウの木が、沢山密集して群生している姿は圧巻です。　　海からの潮風を受け、太陽に照らされた木々は、美しくも力強い肉厚の黄色い花を所狭し、と、咲かせています。

On Tajiri Beach, the northern tip of Shimada Island, you can see colonies of Hamabo.　　The sight of the large hamabou trees growing densely in clusters is a sight to behold.　　The trees, bathed in the sea breeze and illuminated by the sun, are blooming with beautiful yet powerful thick yellow flowers.

群生しているハマボウの木の西側に、海に面した北向きに、「予科訓練生救助顕彰碑」が建てられています。昭和20年（1945）年の8月に起きた悲劇と地元民たちの勇気を後世に伝え、世界平和を祈念して建てられたそうです。

On the west side of the hamabo tree growing in clusters, facing north facing the sea, there is a monument to commemorate the rescue of preparatory trainees. It is said that it was built to convey the tragedy that occurred in August 1945 and the courage of the local people to future generations, and to pray for world peace.

「太古からの歴史・力強い木々の生命力・助け合おうとする人々の姿」これらを感じ取らせてくれる素晴らしい海岸です。これらの素晴らしい繋がりと絆に想いを馳せました。

It is a wonderful beach where you can feel the history from ancient times, the life force of powerful trees, and the appearance of people trying to help each other. I thought about these wonderful connections and bonds.

§Ⅱ2/4ハマボウの花 島田島田尻浜Hamabo flowe

北端の田島浜から、南北に延びる道路を南に少し走ります。　　道路の東側に沢山の車が停車しています。

道路の西側には畑があり、更にの向こうには、色々な人が手に手にカメラやスマホを持っています。

From Tajima Beach at the northern end, drive a little south on the road that runs north-south.　　Many cars are parked on the east side of the road.　　There is a field on the west side of the road, and beyond that, various people are holding cameras and smartphones in their hands.

§Ⅱ3/4 田尻浜⇨古代ハスの花畑 Ancient lotus fields

古代ハスの花畑 ： Ancient lotus fields

『大賀ハス（古代ハス）の発見から命名まで：From discovery to naming of Oga lotus (ancient lotus)』

昭和26年に、東京大学の植物研究所があった千葉市検見川の川底6ｍの泥炭層に、埋もれていた2千年前の丸木舟のカヤの木の中から、発見された古代ハスのタネが発芽して、全国に広がったものです。

In 1951, an ancient lotus seed was discovered sprouting from a 2,000-year-old dugout canoe that was buried in a 6-meter peat layer on the Kemi River in Chiba City, where the University of Tokyo's Botanical Research Institute was located. and spread all over the country.

発見者の大賀博士の名にちなんで、大賀ハスと名付けけられました。

It was named Oga lotus after its discoverer, Dr. Oga.

沢山の人々の助け合いによって、この太古からのハスが大輪を咲かせています。

人と人、人と生物、人と自然の絆に感謝です。

Thanks to the mutual help of many people, this ancient lotus flower is blooming.

ハマボウの亜種でしょうか、綺麗な木の花が咲いていたので、帰る途中、観て行こうと思います。

It might be a subspecies of Hamabou, but the beautiful flowers were blooming, so I'm going to take a look at them on the way home.

§Ⅱ3/4 古代ハス園 ⇨ 綺麗な木の花 The beautiful flowers of the tree

ハマボウの亜種でしょうか、ツボミの形がハマボウとよく似ています。白い花と、濃いピンクの花は形も色も異なりますが、とても美しいです。

Perhaps it is a subspecies of Hamabou, the shape of the bud is very similar to that of Hamabou. The white flowers and dark pink flowers are different in shape and color, but they are very beautiful.

綺麗な木を観終わった後、鳴門スカイラインまで戻り、絶景ポイントの堀越橋を渡ってから、小鳴門橋を目指します。

After seeing the beautiful trees, return to the Naruto Skyline, cross the Horikoshi Bridge, which is a scenic point, and aim for the Konaruto Bridge.

§Ⅱ 16 車窓 Shaso 綺麗な木の花 ⇨ 小鳴門橋 Konaruto bridge R030722

今回は、沢山の美しい花を観賞しましたが、加えて、沢山の橋も観察できました。最後に、徳島県で一番ユニークな橋の「加賀須野橋」を渡って徳島市へと帰ることとしました。

加賀須野橋は、道路の舗装された橋桁が上下に動いて、上に持ち上がった橋桁の下に船を通す、全国的にも珍しい橋の一つです。

In addition to seeing many beautiful flowers this time, I was also able to observe many bridges. Finally, we decided to return to Tokushima City by crossing the most unique bridge in Tokushima Prefecture, the Kagasuno Bridge.

Kagasuno Bridge is one of the rare bridges in Japan where the paved road girders move up and down, allowing boats to pass under the raised girders.

加賀須野橋 ： Kagasuno bridge

徳島市川内町と板野郡松茂町を繋ぐ、加賀須野橋は珍しい開閉橋で、橋桁を上下に移動させられます。

橋桁の一部の四方を囲む様に4本の柱が建てられています。

船の通過させる時には、この柱の手前で遮断機により道路を封鎖し、柱で囲まれた橋桁が柱に沿って上部に上げられます。

橋桁が上がり、橋桁の下を貨物船が航行する姿は、圧巻です。

The Kagasuno Bridge, which connects Kawauchi-cho, Tokushima City and Matsushige-cho, Itano-gun, is a rare opening and closing bridge whose girders can be moved up and down.

Four pillars are built to surround a part of the bridge girder on all four sides.

When a ship is allowed to pass, the road is blocked by a gate in front of this pillar, and the bridge girder surrounded by the pillar is raised along the pillar.

The sight of cargo ships sailing under the bridge girders is a sight to behold.

先人から受け継いだ技術を発展させ、更に伝統も受け継いで守ろうとする、日本文化のあるべき姿を感じさせる橋です。

It is a bridge that gives you a sense of what Japanese culture should be like, developing the techniques inherited from our predecessors, and also inheriting and protecting traditions.
