ポリグロットで日本語もマスターしておられるSteve Kaufmannさんによる言語学習に関する動画。
一つの教材などを徹底的にやるなどよりも幾つかの教材などをやったほうがより集中できるという話。
個人的にもかなりなっとくできる。
中で紹介されていたManfred Spitzer "Lernen: Gehirnforschung und die Schule des Lebens"という本。
面白そうなので気になります。
こんなブログ記事があった。
書き写すというと、南方熊楠が何でもかんでも書き写しまくっていたとか、白川静もかきうつさないと数多に残らないと言ってたとか、最近では、佐藤優が書き写すことを勧めたいたような記憶がある。
あとは、「Alexander Arguelles先生のThe Scriptorium Technique」に書いたが、ハイパーポリグロットのAlexander Arguelles先生も書き写すという方法をおすすめしていたので、やはり書き写すというのはかなり効率的な方法なのだろうと思う。
個人的には根性がなくてできないんだけど。3分で飽きる。
トルコの大統領エルドアンなのかエルドガンなのか。まずウィキペディアをみてみると、
姓の“Erdoğan”は、トルコ語の本来の発音に近いのは「エルド・アン」であるが、“ğ”が“g”と区別されず、「エルドガン」と表記されることもある。
ということで、「エルドアン」に近いらしいが、付属の音声ファイルを聞いてみると、ミドルネームとくっついていることもあってレジェップタイッパランぐらいの感じに聞こえる。

ドイツ語のNachrichtenleichtでは、エルドアンと呼んでいる。
Bloomberg（英語）のニュースでは「エルドアン」と呼んでいる。
トランプ大統領は明確に「エルドガン」と呼んでいる。
あと、日本の大手メディアはほぼすべて「エルドアン」と表記しているようである。
外国語学習アプリなどはあまり使ったことがないのだが、なんとなくDropsというアプリを試してみたら、意外とよい感じだった。
無料だと一回５分で、一回やるとしばらくできないうえ、学習できる表現や単語も限られている。
ただしある程度の量をやるには有料。買うかどうかは迷っている。

Even after several nights of recovery sleep, there is a substantial difference in how quickly they recall those words compared to the control group of participants who didn’t face sleep deprivation.
Clearly, for children as well as adults, prolonged sleep isn’t a sign of laziness in a language learner. It’s critical for our brains’ connections and our bodies’ rhythms.
So, following your next intense Duolingo session, it’s a good idea to sleep on it. You may be surprised the next morning by how much you’ve absorbed.
とくに言語学習なんかには確実に睡眠は重要な模様。昼寝も良いとのこと。
私などは睡眠不足気味、生活リズムぐちゃぐちゃでなおかつ毎日アルコールで脳細胞を殺している。どうりでなかなか異常に記憶力が悪いわけである。

拘束されたのは「革命ケムニッツ（Revolution Chemnitz）」と称する組織を発足させた21～31歳の男。連邦検察当局によると、6人は外国人や政治的な意見の異なる人々を武器で襲撃することを企図。標的にはさまざまな政党の代表や財界人も含まれていた。10月3日の「ドイツ統一の日（German Unity Day）」の襲撃実行を計画していたもようだという。
ケムニッツは相変わらずたいへんな状況の模様。ケムニッツに関連して下のような記事が東京新聞に載っていた。

並の89歳の人がリーマン予想を解決したといってもだれも耳をかさないし、あ、認知症ですか？くらいだろうが、単なる89歳ではなく元々世界最高レベルの数学者だったために、無下に否定するのもなかなかしづらく、いろいろ皆さん気を使わなければいけなかったりでたいへんなことになっている、という状況？
