I joined the reunion party of high school in Asakusa. To our sorrow, some passed away, but others are active. It is good to get stimulated by old friends and teachers. We enjoyed ourselves and my plan for next year turned out to be gradually clear.
It's November! No more than two months are left this year. Although I think everybody is busy, it will be good to visit Sanyo Media Flower Museum in Inage, where JHS(Japan Herb Society) Chiba group will hold its exhibition from 19th to 24th. We have attended to this event for one year. So please come to see us. We are looking forward to seeing you.
Talking of Tsukuba, Ms. A visited me with cookies of her own making the other day. Her cookies are special. It is too good to eat this Jack-o'-Lantern! She is planning to open her shop, which makes me more excited when I think of visiting Tsukuba.
One of my friends opened her own traditional old house to join the Autumn Festival in Tsukuba. The house, which is called "Ogoshi-tei", was built in 1868 and recorded in the book on architecture and in photo books, so it is well worth while watching even for us ordinary Japanese. Just as we arrived, some architecture major students were trying to put new paper on the "shoji", a kind of window. We each decolated a piece of paper with herbs and then fitted the paper into the shoji. This colorful modern shoji goes well with not only the traditional house but also the beautiful view of the foot of Mt.Tsukuba, doesn't it? Why not go to Tsukuba Festival to appreciate the elegance of autumn?
