米マルチ楽器奏者/プロデューサー/ソングライター「Al Kooper」’72年ソロ名義5作目LP “A Possible Projection Of The Future/Childhood’s End”♪
制作時28歳だった「Al Kooper」が特殊メイクで “80歳の老人” に扮し (‘44年2月5日生まれ「Al Kooper」は実に現在80歳ですね. . . ’21年引退した「Al」はこの姿に近づいていたりするのかな？！)、 “Fender Jaguar” ギターを抱え項垂れている構図ジャケ写が “何じゃコレ？！” なインパクト大の本作は、前年 (‘71) 作 “New York City (You’re A Woman)”【＊当blog関連記事↓リンク】での一部楽曲に続きアルバム全編英ロンドンにてレコーディング. . . 前作よりの流れを汲むソウル・ミュージック・テイストの “SSW的作風” 自作曲群に加え、「Bob Dylan」に「Jimmy Cliff」「Curtis Mayfield」「Smokey Robinson」作ナンバーのカヴァーで構成された内容♪

いきなりスペーシーな効果音が飛び交いコンセプチュアルに “語り” で幕を開け、何やら大仰な展開が暫し続くも、楽曲本編に入ればソウルフルな “「Al Kooper」節” SSWテイストで “一安心” (笑) の冒頭表題曲♪
イントロ部分はシンセ諸々色々試してみたかったんかなw？！
