久しぶりに、トシくん（中澤利彦氏）を見かけた。
ニューヨークで大人気のツアーバス「THE RIDE」のダンスパフォーマーとして、
日本人で唯一、ずっとレギュラーで出演している。
「THE RIDE」のことは以前にも何度か記事にしているけれど、
コロナ渦中は仕事もいったんなくなって、その後を少し心配していた。
私はヨガに行くラフな格好でいたので、挨拶をするか一瞬迷ったけれど、
ここで遭遇するのも御縁だと声をかけてみた。
シャイな素振りは相変わらずだったけれど、「THE RIDE」バスが目の前に来たら、
水を得た魚のように華麗に踊り出し、中から見ている観光客は大喜び。
ストリート側の影から、彼の教え子さんも羨望の眼差しで見つめていた。
世界の中心地ニューヨークで、常に第一線で踊り続ける地位を得ること。
そして子どもたちにダンスレッスンを提供するために、日本全国を回っている。
子どもたちに「夢をあきらめないで」と訴える彼が、築いてきた功績は大きい。

I was in my casual yoga attire, so I wasn't sure for a moment whether to say hello or not,
But I thought running into him here would be a good chance, so I called out to him.
He was still acting shy, but when the "THE RIDE" bus arrived in front of me, he looked like a fish out of water,
The tourists watching from inside were delighted.
From the shadows on the street side, his students watched with envy.
He earned a position in New York, the center of the world, where he was always at the forefront of dancing.
To provide dance lessons to children, he travels all over Japan.
He has made outstanding achievements by urging children not to abandon their dreams.
