Kazuya tells her that she doesn't have to come because he will do something about it. That is a cancellation from a customer. She has no reason come to the party as a rental girlfriend. However, Chizuru over the phone is not in the mood. She is anxious and worried that Ruka will declare herself his girlfriend again.
If that were to happen, it would be known that Kazuya's real girlfriend is Ruka and Chizuru is just a rental. If her relationship with Kazuya was exposed as a lie, Chizuru would have no reason to ask Kazuya to rent her.

It is "something" she felt when Kazuya confessed to her that day and she saw him as her true lover, even for a moment. It may have stuck with her for a long time, wondering why she was so confused. Grandma Sayuri seemed to think that Chizuru looked ilke she wanted to go to the birthday party so badly when she asked to be allowed to go. Sayuri knows everything about Chizuru's feelings.

Embarrassed that her true feelings have been revealed to those around her, Chizuru tries desperately to hide them. She gave Kazuya a glare with Jito-eyes to deny it.
If This Love were Real...
Returning to the hospital that night, she learned that Grandma Sayuri's condition was quite poor. Chizuru has only a few months left to spend with the person most important to her.

Grandma Sayuri always looked forward to seeing Kazuya. She likes Kazuya very much. She surely knows that Chizuru's feelings for him are genuine. That is why Grandma Sayuri must have been watching over her precious, precious Chizuru's love until now.
Chizuru may have guessed that if she lost her lover relationship with Kazuya now, she would be in pain and would rely on her grandma. It would cause unnecessary worry to her grandma, and she would worry even more if she learned her granddaughter would be left alone from now on.

In front of her is a warm family and a kind Grandma Nagomi. And next to her, the person she loves. As a rental girlfriend, you should never accept such a thing. But Chizuru decides to accept the ring because of Grandma Nagomi's kindness. Hoping that one day this lie will become real.

Chizuru's dream was to show her grandma that she was in a movie. It was a dream she absolutely wanted to fulfill for her grandpa as well, who had supported her throughout his life. Her work as a rental girlfriend and her acting school were all for that dream.
However, Grandma Sayuri's condition deteriorated and her remaining time was running out. The audition she had hoped for was also unsuccessful.
GRANDPA DID YOU LIE TO ME?
DID YOU LIE ABOUT MY DREAM BECOMING TRUE...?

Chizuru is on the verge of giving up, as if the taut thread has been severed.

But then Kazuya showed up! He proposes a crowdfunded movie production.
If Kazuya is right, Grandma Sayuri can see her standing on the screen. Her dream will come true.

Chizuru worries about what to do. She wants to show her grandma Sayuri that she is in a movie. But there is no guarantee that she will be able to complete the movie. If she gives up her dream, she can be with her grandma more often. If she fails to make the movie, it would mean the loss of precious time with her grandma.
It will surely be a heavy burden on Kazuya as well. He doesn't have any experience in crowdfunding or moviemaking. They will have to grope their way in the dark. She doesn't know if it will go well.
So, when Chizuru visits Kazuya's room, she asks him

Chizuru's trembling hands. There is no guarantee that it will work. But it's a dream she really wants to make come true. She has done everything to make her dream come true, from her work as a rental girlfriend to her lessons. If her dream does not come true, it would be painful from the bottom of her heart.
Kazuya, seeing this, did not give up on her dream.

Kazuya promises to make a movie for Chizuru.
On the day she confided in Kazuya about her dream, he told her that he wanted to see her fulfill her dream as an actress, and that is why he wanted to be there for her. The idea of making a movie through crowdfunding would never have occurred to the pragmatic Chizuru. If it had been Chizuru alone, she would have thought it was impossible and given up. But Kazuya did not give up. He suffered and struggled for Chizuru's sake and shined a light of hope on her. He promised to do it.
Chizuru decides to entrust her dream to Kazuya.

From this moment on, Chizuru and Kazuya's dreams began to run.
Chizuru had never shown weakness to anybody, looking forward even when things were not going well. However, at the first time she relied on Kazuya. This was the first time Chizuru showed her weakness to him, albeit only a little.

Thank you for your patience with my very long commentary thus far. I see that Chizuru has finally realized her love for you. By the way, isn't Kazuya too cool to run to Chizuru who almost gave up on her dream and cried? I think it is natural to fall in love with him. What I feel most when I write a review from Chizuru's point of view is not how cute she is, but how cool Kazuya is. I fell in love with him as well as Chizuru lol.
Until volume 6, Chizuru had not experienced any of the "delicious" developments usually seen in romantic comedies, such as jealousy or love battles, and she had been a heroine who did not fall in love to the point where I wondered when the "dere" (showing your love) would come. But little by little, love begins to run, and as a fan of Chizuru, I am very happy to see that in volumes 7-12.
I think Chizuru was most happy when Kazuya told her not to give up. I think this is where her view of Kazuya changed. Just like Chizuru's grandpa did, Chizuru knows how much strength someone who says "you can do it," even if there is no proof, can give to her. Oops, this is going to spoil it a bit.
