赤い鳥、ベニマシコに会いたくて Long-tailed Rosefinch
赤い鳥、ベニマシコに会いたくて牧野定例探鳥会(08.3.2)に
参加した。朝から春の日差しで暖かい。淀川の河川敷に出ると
ベニマシコ数羽の群れに出会った。ラッキー!!の声がする。
少し遠いが赤い♂、地味な♀のベニマシコが一緒に川柳の
梢に止まって採餌していた。
淀川の川原にはカワウ、マガモが休息し、カワアイサが群れて
採餌していた。ホオジロ、メジロ飛び回り、ウグイスもよく鳴いて
くれた。探鳥の終わりにチョウゲンボウが木の枝に止まっているのを
観察した。ようやく春だ、イヌノフグリ、タンポポも咲いていた。
"寒かった08の冬よさようなら、暖かい春よこんにちは"
参加者55人、観察した野鳥57種
ここはやはり第一級の探鳥地だ。
One of delights of Birdwatching is to observe scarlet birds.
In order to see Long- tailed Rosefinches,I took part in
Makino Monthly Birdwatching Field Tour(Meeting Place :
Keihan Line, Makino St.9:00 First Sunday ).
Yodogawa River Makino,the first class birdwatching distination,
is the best place to see Long-tailed Rosefinches.As soon as
we got to the dry riverbed of Yodogawa
River, we were able to watch Long-tailed Rosefinches feeding
on the twigs of willows trees.
Great Cormorants,Mallards were resting on the riverbasin.Meadow Buntings
Japanese White-eyes were moving among trees. Japanese Bush Warbler
were singing. I was delighted to hear first songs in spring The final stage of
the tour we watched a common Kestel sitting on the blanch.
Dandelions, Commonfield Speedwell were in bloom.
Spring has come here.

東我孫子中学校で野鳥観察指導
大阪府の愛鳥指定中学校、東我孫子中学校で野鳥観察指導
府指定愛鳥中学校、東我孫子中学校の野鳥アドバイザーとして
学校の依頼により野鳥観察を指導しました。
当中学の校長先生、教頭先生は生徒たちに教室での勉強だけ
なく課外活動として、自然に親しみ、環境について学んでもらいたいという
教育方針を持っておられ、その一環として、今回私が野鳥観察を指導することになった。
先ず2月12日東我孫子中学校に赴き教室にて「野鳥紙芝居」のCDを
使い、野鳥観察の基本の話をしました。鳥という生物、野鳥観察のさまざまな
楽しみ方、観察道具、双眼鏡の使い方、ものさし鳥、鳥の渡り、環境と野鳥、
野鳥観察のマナー等について話しました。
東我孫子中学校で野鳥観察を学ぶのは初めてのことだそうで、
私も緊張しましたが、生徒たちも緊張して話を聞いてくれました。
この講義から1週間後の2月19日、長居の植物園で実際に野鳥観察をすることに
しました。1年生の生徒約30人、私のほかに日本野鳥の会大阪支部保護部の
仲間2名にも協力を依頼し、指導員3名で30名の生徒と野鳥の観察しました。
野鳥観察は東我孫子中学校としても初めて、生徒たちも始めてなかなか熱心に
観察してくれました。
ムクドリ、カワラヒワ、キジバト、マガモ、カルガモ、オナガガモ、ホシハジロ、
キンクロハジロ、コサギ、アオサギ、カワウ、ハクセキレイ、ハシボソガラスを
観察した。
野鳥に興味をもち自然に親しみ、野鳥を通して自然環境の大切さを学んで、
大切な自然環境を守ってほしい。
Guiding how to do birdwatching at the bird loving junior high school designated by Osaka Pref.,
I gave lecture to students how to observe birds at
that they would like their student to study not only subjects at the classroom but also to study the natural environment at the outside school. This is why I guided students
of the school.
First of all, I went to the school with CD,「The picture story show on birds」provided by
Wild Bird Society of Japan on Feb.12th 08 .I talked students about the meet-and-potato of birdwatching such as what birds is, how to enjoy it, many ways for enjoying birdwatching, tools for birdwaching, how to use binocular, scale birds, migration, natural environment through birds, manner of birdwatching.
One week later, I led the students including the teachers to Osaka Municipal Botanical garden at Nagai,Abenoーward, with helping two my birdwatching friends where we enjoyed observing birds such as Tree Sparrow, Gray Starling, Oriental Dove, Green Finch, Tufted Duck, Mallard, Northern Pintail，Spot-billed Duck, Common Pochard, Little Egret, Great cormorant.

淀川野鳥観察会に北米のバードウォッチャー7名参加
来日中の北米のバードウォッチャーグループ一行の
リーダーから連絡があり、2月17日大阪で野鳥の
観察できるところに案内してほしいとのこと。
その日は日本野鳥の会大阪支部主催の淀川定例探鳥会に
当たる日でありであり、淀川定例探鳥会に参加しもらい日本の
バードウォッチャーと交流しもらうことにした。
北米のバードウォッチャー7名と淀川定例探鳥会で一緒に楽しんだ。
1名はカナダ人、6名はUSAのバードウォッチャーで
北海道でタンチョウズル,ハギマシコ、シマフクロウ、コオリガモ、
九州でマナズル、ナベズル、沖縄でヤンバルクイナ、
ノグチゲラ等を見て大阪に立ち寄って参加された。
午後は私の案内で箕面公園を案内しルリビタキ、アトリ、
ハイタカ、ホオジロ, トラツグミなど観察した。
一行はこの後、軽井沢で探鳥を楽しみ東京経由で帰国の予定。
この外人バードウォッチャーの一人は60ヶ国を訪問し
4,000種の野鳥を観察したことのあるつわものもいた。
淀川で25種新しく観察できたと喜んでいた。
2月17日の淀川定例探鳥会は38名の参加があり
37種の野鳥を観察した。この探鳥会で淀川に
コオリガモ♀が出現した、これは初記録である。
水管橋したのクリークのパンクイナもでて、
外人バードウォッチャーも喜んで記録したり写真に
撮ったりしていた。
The participants to Yodogawa monthlty field birdwatching tour
sponsosered by WBSJ Osakachapter enjoyed birdwatching
along the river from Kema to Shirokita Park together with
North American 7 birders,one of them possesses 4,000
species birds observation record visiting 60 countries.
Interestingly his name is Mr.Kamido,sound like Japanese
I wrote "神導"or"神戸" for him.
They were very pleased to get on with Japanese birdwatchers
as well as to observe 25 new species birds including Water Rail
or "Bread Eating Rail",Skylark,Gadwall,Greater Scaup,Little Grebe.
The tour recorded one new species, Long-tailed Duck for the first time.
