humongous!!

i have been eating junk food as the place is very much close to my hotel. i ordered a combo meal. here is the medium size drink. compare it to the cigarette pack. yes, this is the "medium" size..... no wonder why americans are big. not to mention but i used to order small size when i lived in the us. i forgot about the size.

ホテルのすぐそばにあるということもあり、ジャンク・フードばかり食べてます。セット物を頼んだわけですが、これがmサイズのドリンク。タバコの箱と比べてみて下さい。そうです、これが「m」サイズです。アメリカ人がデカイのも分かる気がします。昔、米国に住んでいた頃はスモール・サイズを頼んでいました。そのことをすっかり忘れていました。

because i came back to the hotel early in the morning, i woke up in the afternoon. then i did some translations of documents. my wife seems to have very busy time these days but i am in no-clock-world..... however, i have to adjust it by monday (when is it?) as there may be some phone calls from japan and do something here.

朝方にホテルへ帰ってきたため、起きたのは午後になってからでした。それから、翻訳作業を幾つか。うちの奥さんはかなり忙しい日々を送っているようですが、こちらは時間のない世界にいるような感じ。とは言うものの、月曜日（っていつ？）までにはアジャストしないと。恐らくは日本から何本か電話がかかってくるでしょうし、色々とやらなければならないことも出てくることが考えられるんでね。

all that (latin) jazz + house!!

i decided to go out and the one i picked was toshio matsuura of ex-ufo @ pink . i went there at around 11:30 and there was already a line in front of the entrance. but luckily i could get in soon. it was packed inside. i ordered a bottle of beer and waited for him to appear. the guys who opened up for him played some house stuff, and actually they were pretty good.

結局、出かけることにしまして、選んだのはピンク というクラブでの松浦俊夫さん（元ufo）。11：30頃に着いたんですが、既に入り口の前には長い列が。ですが、幸運にもすぐに入ることができました。ビールを頼んで、彼が登場するのを待つ。前座の2人はハウスを回していたんですが、なかなか良かったです。

then, at around 12:30, matsuura took over the deck. as expected, he played jazz, latin jazz, mambo and house stuff. the way he built up was pretty amazing. he actually started with the announcement of sumo wrestling!! when he played "loud minority," i was like "yeeeehaaaah." i really enjoyed his play.

それから12：30頃に松浦さんがデッキにつきました。予想していた通り、ジャズ、ラテン・ジャズ、マンボ、それからハウスなどをプレイ。やはり、盛り上げ方には目を見張るものがありました。そして、「ラウド・マイノリティ」をプレイした時には、もう「最高!!」ってな感じでした。本当に楽しんだひと時でした。

the only missed part was that my wife was not with me..... if you were with me, we could enjoy whole a lot.

唯一、欠けていたのは奥さんがいなかったこと・・・。君がいたら、最高に楽しめたのにな。

my stay has been extended.....

i was supposed to be back to japan on saturday but it has been extended until next wednesday..... so, i am thinking what i will do over the weekend. i stayed in my hotel room all day today as i did some work. since i am in san fran, i should go out to explore san fran/west coast house.

土曜日に帰国する予定でしたが、来週の水曜日に延期。というわけで、週末に何をするか考えているところ。今日は一日中ホテルの部屋にこもってお仕事。せっかくサンフランにいるんで、サンフラン／西海岸ハウスでも聞きに出かけてみようかな。

i am doing fine.

i met a lawyer this morning and taked about what needs to be done. i am now waiting a phone call from japan, so i am not sure what is going to happento me. but hopefully, i will be back to japan anytime soon.

今朝、弁護士に会って今後の必要なことを話し合いました。今のところ、日本からの電話待ちのため、どうなるかは分かりません。でも、すぐに帰れることを祈ってます。

i met a drunken chef i have known for a long time. he got older but he seemed fine.

昔から知っている板前さんに会いました。年はとっていますが、元気そうでなにより。

san fran

i am now in san fran. there was a big problem at the air port in haneda..... so i was very much down about that as it was completely my fault. hope she will be alright and fully recovered soon. i am very much sorry about the incident.

今、サンフランにいます。羽田空港で大問題が発生しまして・・・。完全に自分のせいなので、思いっきり落ち込んでしまいました。すぐに良くなりますように。本当に申し訳ありませんでした。

thanks to the up grade tikets, i had very comfortable flight. there was a lan port in my seat, so i could have accessed the internet but i couldn't as i slept. there were many movies that i wanted to see but all i saw was mission impossible 3.

アップグレード券のおかげでフライトは快適でした。座席にlanのポートが着いてまして、インターネットもできたんですが、結局寝てしまいアクセスすることはありませんでした。映画も色々あったんですが、結局見たのはミッション・インポッシブル3だけ。

i will be working from tomorrow. i will visit a lawyer in the morning. hope things go well and be back to japan soon.

明日から仕事。まずは、朝に弁護士の先生のところへ。うまく行って、すぐに日本に帰れますように。

one size fits all

i stopped by at some shops to buy some business shirts (long sleeve); however, i could not find my size, not in anywhere!! what i looked for: neck 38, sleeve 80 and wide-spread collar. and what i found was like 39-82, 37-80, etc. but not 38-80..... 37 is too tight but 39 is too loose. 78 is too short but 82 is too long..... will i ever find one?? don't say i'm picky. i just would like to find my size, that's all.....

仕事用のシャツ（長そで）を買おうかと幾つかのお店に立ち寄りました。が、が!! どこにも自分のサイズはなかった!! 探していたのは首周りが38でそでが80、そんでもって襟がワイド・スプレッドなやつ。それで、見つかったのといえば39－82だったり、37－80だったり、などなどで、38－80は見つからず。37はタイト過ぎる一方、39はルーズ過ぎ、78は短過ぎる一方で82は長すぎ・・・。見つかるのだろうか?? 選り好みしてるなんて言わないように。ただ単に自分のサイズを見つけたいだけだから・・・。

i just talked to my friend in san fan, and he told me that there is a county where whole county is non-smoking!! that means you cannot smoke even in your house. too bad that i will visit the county.....

サンフランにいる知り合いと話したんですが、全て禁煙になっている郡があるみたいです。つまり、そこでは自分の家の中でもタバコを吸えないということになります。更には、そこにも行く予定があるんですね・・・。

summer cold

i've been struggling with a summer cold for the last three or so days. i don't know why i got one. the strange thing is that it hasn't been getting worse nor hasn't it been getting better... weird.

ここ3日間ほど夏風邪に悩まされてます。なぜ引いたのかも分かりません。不思議なのは悪化してないんだけど、良くもなっていないということ・・・、変。

started to prepare for the trip to san fran. i have to bring warm clothes as it is pretty chilly at night there. this time, i will use up-grade ticket for the international flights. thanks to the platinum card . i will bring suits but i don't wanna wear during the trip: however, i have to stop by at the office in tokyo.....

サンフラン出張の準備を始めました。向こうでは、夜は冷え込むみたいなんで、暖かい服を持っていかなければ。今回は、国際線でアップ・グレード券を使用します。プラチナ・カード に感謝。スーツは持って行きますが、着て行きたくはありません。でも、東京のオフィスに寄らなければならないんですよね～。

all of a sudden, i've gotta go to san fran next week. if things go well, i will be staying there for 3 days (short!!) but if things don't go well, i may have to end up staying there for 3 to 4 weeks (loooong!!!). gotta go to layer's office, registrations office, city hall, etc..... but definitely hoping to have some off-time.

突然、来週にサンフラン出張となりました。上手く行けば3日間の滞在（短いっす!!）。でも、上手く行かなければ3～4週間（長い～!!!）も滞在する羽目に・・・。弁護士事務所に行って、登録事務所に行って、役所に行って、などなど・・・。でも、自由時間があることを何とか願います。

i may be transferred to bigger office (although my current office used to be the biggest.....) in the very near future. we will have meeting tomorrow with the new boss. let's see what happens.

すごい近い将来、大きな事務所に転勤になるかも（と言っても、自分が今いる事務所が一番デカかったんですがね・・・）。明日、新しいボスを交えてミーティングです。さて、どうなることやら。
