i haven't been feeling good for a couple of days. it's like a stomach flu..... i'm hoping that i will get better soon.

after picking up my wife at the airport, we went to have lunch. it's like a "tempura diner." they serve freshest of the freshest tempura as they bring pieces right after they cooked. also, you get to pick 3 kinds of pickled vegetables and fermented squid for "all-you-can-eat." delicious!!
奥さんを空港でピックした後、ランチを食べに。食べたところは「天ぷらダイナー」のようなところ。そこでは、揚げたての天ぷらを一品ずつもってきてくれる、まさに揚げたての天ぷらがいただけます。漬物3種とイカの塩辛も食べ放題。美味い!!

since my ex-colleague whom i have known for about 15 years (we've known each other since we were in the us) was back to our city to pack things up, some other colleagues and we went to have some foods and drinks. the place we went looked rather regular "izakaya" but the food they served was somewhat different from the regular izakaya. i would say that they served like trend-following food. food was pretty good!!

ebay situation:
イーベイの状況：
i received an email from ebay, saying that the item i lost was re-listed due to the fact that the highest bidder canceled for some reason. so, they gave me the second chance but i was kinda suspicious about this: the seller and the highest bidder were a team and they intentionally raised the price. then the highest bidder cancels the bid, so that second highest bidder gets a chance to buy at his/her highest bid, which means the seller can sell at higher price than the starting price as compare to the situation where there was only one bidder. what do you think about this? or is it just my imagination?
イーベイから、昨日負けたオークションの落札者が何らかの理由によりキャンセルしたとのメールを貰いました。というわけで、僕にチャンスが巡ってきたのですが、ちょっと怪しい：出品者と落札者がグルで、意図的に値段を吊り上げたんじゃないかと。それで落札者がキャンセルすると、2番目に最高額を提示していた入札者に、入札者の最高提示額で落札するチャンスが与えられ、つまりは入札者が一人だけの状況に比べてオークション開始価格よりも高い価格で売ることができるわけなんですよね。どう思います？ それとも、単に考えすぎなんでしょうか？

i proceeded to place bid on the item and i won as it was buy-it-now. i thought about it as i wrote above but the price was still a lot cheaper than the price offered in japan.
指値状態だったので、入札と共に落札。上記のようにあれこれ考えたのですが、それでも日本国内で提示されている価格よりも随分と安かったのです。
but what i think is that those overseas people are pretty much influenced by japanese culture as you see there are so many "collabos" out there.
ですが、海外の人達は日本の文化にかなりの影響を受けているように思います。海外でも沢山の「コラボ」を目にしますからね・・・。
today, i was looking forward to win an item on ebay auction but i was outbidded. the bidder was a sniper, and i totally forgot about sniping..... also, i was going to place a bid on the other item but the price now already exceeded my upper limit. i am trying to convince myself that someone up in the air is saying i should not spend money on them at this moment but you know.....

me and my wife had lunch at ringer hut. i was first kinda surprised by the fact that they raised the price but then while we were eating, a staff came up to us and gave us "to go bags." the staff said that it was a part of campaign for the anniversary of the founding. the campaign started from today and first 100 people get the bag, so we were lucky!?

many kinds of fortune-tellings say that i should wait calmly. even though i am in the middle of paid vacation, i have been kinda nervous but decided to let go.
