here's "scott hardkiss album demos..." that i received the other day. thank you so much, scott! i'm surprised that all the tracks got songs on them. i listened to the cd over and over, and man, all the tracks are really great. it's more like electro, funk, rock, etc. than house, all of them are emotional, which i like. you know he has his own eclectic style in making music and in his dj performance. and in this cd, you will feel it and of course, his vibe. i'm sure remixed versions will be harder. anyway, i can't wait to listen to the entire album!
先日届いたscott hardkissのアルバム・デモ。スコット、アリガトー！ 収録されていた曲が全て歌物だったのには驚きました。繰り返し聴いたんですが、いや～良いですね～。で、曲なんですがハウスよりも、もっとエレクトロ、ファンク、ロック寄りな感じでエモーショナルなところが好きです。曲作りやdjパフォーマンスにおいては彼の音楽的好みの幅広さがあるのはご存知かと。このcdではそれを垣間見ることができますし、勿論、彼のバイブを感じることができます。リミックス・バージョンはもっとハードになるんでしょうね。いずれにしても、アルバム全体として早く聴いてみたいです！

i went to lounge roots in nishi-azabu with my wife and a relative of ours. the owner is my wife's childhood friend. we sat and drank at a lounge filled with early 1900's antique furniture, even the chandelier is an antique piece. it's hard to see in the picture but there are some rare artworks. well, i felt i was in the wrong place..... anyway, we, including takeshi-san the onwer, for a while, and i got a lot of energy.
later, we went down stairs and danced for a while, and went back to the lounge. then i passed out. i think it's because of the comfy sofa. anyway, thank you very much for everything!
うちの奥さんと親戚と一緒に西麻布にあるラウンジ・ルーツへ。オーナーの方がうちの奥さんの幼なじみなんですよね。ラウンジでお酒を飲んだりしていたんですが、そのラウンジっていうのが1900年代前半のアンティークばかり。シャンデリアもアンティーク。写真では見えにくいんですが、レアなアート・ピースも幾つか。なんか、自分は場違いなところにいるんじゃないかって感じちゃいました。で、オーナーの武士さんを含むみんなでしばし歓談。エネルギーをいただきました。
その後、下に行ってしばらく踊り。それから、ラウンジに戻ってきたんですが、その時点でつぶれちゃいました。恐らくは気持ちの良いソファのせいかもしれません。あれこれ色々と有難うございました！

i have been trying to find the information about scott's new album, which was supposed to be out in july: however, i found nothing. but today, i got an email from scott, saying that his new album has been delayed due to the fact that he got great positive feedbacks from his preview cd, and he's been trying to release it from his own label. many companies want to distribute the album. i'm glad that the whole project is progressing, anyway. i look forward to receiving the preview cd anytime soon! (he has sent it to me long time ago but never reached me..... where did the cd go??)
これまで7月にリリース予定だった新しいアルバムについての情報をあれこれ探していたんですが、何も見つからなかったんですよね。ですが今日、スコットからメールがありまして配布したプレビューcdに対して素晴らしいフィードバックがあり、自身のレーベルからリリースしようとしているためにリリースが遅れているそうです。多くの会社がディストリビュートしたいと言っているそうです。何はともあれ、プロジェクト全体が進んでいること、喜ばしい限りです。プリビューcd、早く届きますように！ （随分前に送ってくれたらしいんですが、自分のところには届かなかったんですよね・・・どこに行っちゃったんでしょう？？）

my mother used to work as a dental hygienist (now retired), and because of that, i have used so many kinds of toothbrushes, including dentist's recommends, in my life. however, none of them were perfect to me. of course, they worked fine but not like perfect, you know? and finally, i found the best one! the size and hardness of the brush is just perfect to me. it's not to say that you always find the best one (whatever it is) at stores... right?
母親が以前に歯科衛生士として働いていたということもありまして、これまでに歯医者さん推奨を含む多種多様な歯ブラシを使ってきました。しかしながら、バッチシというのはなかったんですよね。勿論、これまでの歯ブラシは使えるには使えたんですが、自分にとっては完璧ではなかったっていう、分かりますかね？ で、とうとう見つけましたよ！ サイズといい、硬さといい、自分にとってはバッチシです。（それが何であれ）ベストなモノが必ずしもお店で見つけられるというわけではありません・・・よね？

i got "the many shades of cajual." i have it on my cassette tape but i've been looking for cd. the interesting thing about this cd is that it has two cds: disc 1 is the mix of cajual tracks done by derrick carter and disc 2 is the compilation (mostly cajmere/green velvet and dajae stuff). i've never seen this before. anyway, this is "the" classics of chicago house, and this is one of my most favorite mix cds/tapes. so, if you like chicago house, you have to have this one!
「ザ・メニー・シェイズ・オブ・カジュアル」のcdを入手。カセット・テープでは持っていたんですが、cdを探していたんですよね。で、興味深いのは2枚組みだということ：disc1はデリック・カーターによるカジュアル音源のミックス、disc2はコンピレーション（ほとんどはカジミア／グリーン・ベルベットとダージェイ）。これは見たことありません。いずれにしても、これこそまさにシカゴ・ハウスのクラシックであり、最も好きなミックスcd／テープの1つ。シカゴ・ハウス好きの方、これは持っていなければ！

my computer crashed this morning. i rebooted the computer several times but the error message appeared. this means that i have to recover the sytem, so i looked for the way to recover without defaulting c drive of my computer as there were a lot of data including programs and others; however, there was no such a way to recover for my case.....
i really didn't want to do that but i did it. c's gone..... thank god i saved most of the data in other drive. anyway, i am now trying to get it back as it used to be. i still need to install many programs, and a lot of bookmarks are missing..... it'll take all day today (or even tomorrow).
people, please backup your files just in case something happens to your computers!
今朝、パソコンがクラッシュしちゃいました。何度かリブートしてみたんですがエラー・メッセージが出るばかり。つまりはシステムを復旧させなければならないということなんですが、cドライブにはプログラム系を含む様々なデータが入っているのでｃドライブを初期化せずに回復できる方法を探してみました。しかしながら、自分のようなケースの場合における他の方法は見つかりませんでした・・・。
というわけで、本当にやりたくなかったんですが初期化しましたよ。cは全部消えちゃった・・・。ただ、ほとんどのデータは他のドライブに保存していたので一安心。それで現在は復旧作業中です。まだまだ入れなければならないプログラムがあるんですが、ブックマークが飛んじゃってますしね～。今日いっぱい（もしかしたら明日も）かかるでしょう・・・。
皆さん、パソコンに何かが起こったときのためにバックアップを取っておきましょう！

i brought mini maglite to the party because i thought i might need it to light up the way i walk at night, and i was glad i did it. however, just about a couple of hours before sunrise, the mini maglite went off. i replaced to new batteries before i left home, so it's not because of the battery. the only problem i could think of was the light bulb. i have been using it for five or six years, so it might be the time to replace it.
after i came back home, i tried againt to turn it on but nothing happened. then i took the batteries out from the maglite and cleaned inside, batteires, etc. and when i tried to clean the spring attached to the bottom lid, i noticed something was under the spring. so, i pulled the pring and removed it from the lid, and here it is; there was a spare light bulb attached to the lid! i didn't know about it even though i have been using it for a long long time.
夜道を歩く時に必要だろうと思い、パーティーにミニ・マグライトを持って行ったんですが、持っていって大正解。ですが、日の出まであと2時間くらいという時にライトがつかなくなってしまったのです。家を出る前に新しい電池に交換していたので、電池の問題ではありません。で、唯一考え付いたのが球切れ。かれこれ5～6年も使っていたので、そろそろ時期だったんでしょうね。
で、家に帰ってきてから再度スイッチを入れてみたんですが、やっぱり何も起こりませんでした。と言うわけで今度はマグライトから電池を抜き、中の部分や電池などを掃除したんですが、底の部分のキャップについていたバネを掃除しようとした時にバネの下に何かがあるのを発見したわけです。それで、バネをキャップから引っ張って外しみたら、何と予備の電球があるではありませんか！ 随分と長い間使っていたんですが、全く気付きませんでした。

on friday night, i got a phone call from tpp-san to ask me if i wanted to go to "sumoon" the outside party held in a camp site in chichibu. and of course, i said "oh, sure, man!" it's been really a long while since i went to the outside party last time. on saturday, we headed to chichibu by his suv fully loaded with boxes full of big chunks of ice, and cold boxes full of drinks and foods, table, chairs, etc.
the party was excellent! i think this was the first time to hear house music at an outside party (in japan). the camp site was rather small but i think the size was perfect; you can hear the music wherever you were, there was a small river right next to the site, etc. the sound was also really great thanks to the nice sound system (and engineers). adding to that, since the site was in like a small valley, such circumstance created accoustic effects which made the sound better.
金曜日の夜にtppさんから、秩父のキャンプ場で開催される野外パーティー「sumoon」に一緒に行きませんか、とのお誘いの電話を頂きました。で、勿論、「行きましょー！」ということに。野外でのパーティーは随分と久しぶり。土曜日、デカい氷が入った箱が幾つかと飲み物・食べ物満載のクーラーボックス2個、テーブル、椅子、その他諸々でパンパンにした彼のsuvでいざ秩父へ。
パーティーは素晴らしかったです！ 野外のパーティーでハウスを聴くのは（日本では）初めてじゃないかな。キャンプ場は比較的小さい方だったんですが、これがまたパーフェクトなサイズで大正解。どこにいても音楽が聞こえますし、すぐ横には川が流れているし、などなど。サウンド・システム（とエンジニア）のお陰で音も良かったです。加えてキャンプ場がちょっとした谷間のようなところにあったため、そうした環境が音響効果を生み出して音を更に良くしていました。
