EmRata : I think the visuals were so important, I mean, even just like the stills, that I saw that you were posting leading up to it, and then the clips on Tick Tock that I saw, like I didn't I hadn't even watched the video until, yesterday, when um I was like researching for this, and I was like, 'Okay, cool', like I feel like I knew the vibe before I even, necessarily knew the sound, which is cool, and I think that's a good way of utilizing the media that we do have. So um... you mentioned that you've been single for the last three years, right?

Sivan : Yeah. So, I was... I was really really, um... like heartbroken, when I first became single. And, it was a... you know, I had this like, really really beautiful relationship. And um... and, you know, I still really...care about that person and everything like that, and it was just like a, it was tough. And so, I think, for me, having to, because I was pretty like, shattered, you know, like it was it wasn't fun. um...And so, I just, you know, kind of woke up and I was like, okay, s*** I'm alone, and I took some time to kind of just like chill on that. And then slowly but surely, I started to kind of like have these experiences, and I had always been a relationship person like a long relationship person. I've had, you know, two really long relationships. And so, I started to explore like, 'Okay well, what's that going to be like to not being one of those?' um... And I promised myself at least a year, of being single. And it's been like over three now.

Sivan : But um... but really, I think about this like one guy so much. um... We met on an internet, and we were like gonna hook up, right? That was the vibe, it was like a, no strings attached hookup. But we went for a drink before, because like, it was just sort of like a formality, almost to like, meet and see the... you know, we were vibing, and kind of like, give each other the opportunity to be like, you know what? I'm actually not feeling this and whatever, um...that's something I actually f**king love about, like, being queer is, I feel like, in general, our approach to sex is um... just kind of more open, because of, you know the way that we grew up and everything, um... like I've had so many hookups, where afterwards, you're like, 'Thank you so much. That was so fun!'. And it almost just feels like, this like, exchange, where you both know exactly what it is, um... and that can feel really nice, and so this was...

He came back to my house after the drink, and we hooked up, and then, um... we were lying in bed, and I remember the words exactly, because it was like, it felt like a very strange, like sentence, it sounded like something out of a movie. But he was like, 'This is one of life's greatest pleasures', and I was like 'What is?' and he was like 'No,well,' Because, yeah, you know, he had asked me if he could sleep over, and it was the first time that I was having a sleepover, you know, post my ex, and um... he was like, 'No, even if I never see you again, you know, we are like sharing this one night in this one moment, and we can, you know, connect in this way'. Troye Sivan has announced details of a huge UK and European tour for 2024.
The tour is in support of Sivan’s acclaimed album ‘Something To Give Each Other’, which was released back in October. The record ? Sivan’s first in five years ? scored the Australian a glowing five-star review from Nick Levine for NME. Levine wrote: “It’s a strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret. You won’t need a bosh of poppers to feel thoroughly intoxicated.”
Hailed by The Guardian as "one of this year's best and most distinctive pop albums" and celebrated by Rolling Stone as "a pristine slice of pop heaven," the Something to Give Each Other Tour is destined to be Sivan 's biggest, boldest and brightest tour.
Sivan’s 17-date run will begin in Portugal on May 29, 2024, before continuing throughout Europe. Sivan arrives in the UK on June 22 at the Manchester AO Arena; the tour will conclude in Birmingham.Tickets for the shows go on sale on December 8 at 9am.
In September and October, Charly XCX and Troye Sivan present 'SWEAT TOUR' in USA and Canada with special guest SHYGIRL. Presale starts Thur, Apr 25 at 10am local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Fri, Apr 26.
