Wine Recommendation - オススメのワイン

私とBrianがワインが好きなことは、私たちをご存知の方は十分ご承知かと思います。

Those of you who know us know that Brian and I love wine.

実は去年のクリスマス前に、楽天ポイントが随分貯まっているのに気づき、自分へのクリスマスプレゼントにワインを購入しました。
Last year before Christmas, I realized that I had a lot of Rakuten points, so I decided to order wine for myself as a Christmas present.

私たちの大好きなカリフォルニアワインにしよう、と探して見ると、レッドウッドのカベルネ・ソーヴィニョンとシャルドネを発見。しかも１本628円！
I looked for our favorite California wine, and I found Redwood Carbernet Sauvignon red wine and Chardnnay white wine, and they were only 628 yen per bottle!

これは買うしかない、と両方ともケース買しました

As you know, I had to buy those. I ordered a case each.

赤は主にブライアンが飲み、白は主に私が飲みますが、どちらもとても美味しかったです。

Brian drinks red wine and I drink white wine mainly, but both were very delicious.

コスパを考えると、本当にオススメです。

Considering the price and the quality, I really recommend them to everyone.

現時点で赤は何本か残っていますが、白はもちろん残っていないので、再注文しようと見てみると、さらに安くなっていました。

In our house, there are still some red wine bottles left, but no white. I wanted to reorder them, and I saw the price even went down.

Happy New Year 2020 - もう1月も終わりますが（汗）

お正月気分も抜けた今日この頃、得意の「完全放置」にしていた自分のブログを見てみました。

New Year's mood has been fading away by now ... and I decided to take a look at my blog which had been "completely neglected' by me for a while. 

ちなみに「完全放置」は私の得意技です。

By the way, I'm really good at "complete negligence."

何と、去年の4月から全く更新していないにも関わらず、毎日100を超えるビューがある

Despite no updates since last April, there are over 100 views every day!

正直10以下だろう、と思っていたので感激でした。

I was impressed because I thought it would be 10 or less.

よし！今年は毎日更新を目指して頑張るぞ！

Alright! I will do my best this year and update everyday!

いやいや、何ヶ月も放置する人がいきなり「毎日」はないでしょ。

No, no, no, you can't say "everyday" because you've been neglecting for months.

改め：今年は出来るだけ頻繁に更新を目指して頑張るぞ

フランス旅行 その4 － ノートルダム大聖堂

ノートルダム大聖堂の火災のニュースが未だに信じられません。

I still can't believe the news about the fire of Notre Dame Cathedral. 

つい2週間前、その場所にいて、写真を撮ったり、お祈りしたりしていたのに。

I was there about 2 weeks ago, taking pictures and praying.

本当に残念で、悲しいことです。

It is truly sad.

でも、形のあるものはすべて、いつか滅びるということを再確認されたような出来事でした。

​​​​​​​I felt that it happened to remind us  that all tangible things on earth would be lost at some point.

形のない物、つまり人々の思い、祈り、願い、崇拝、etc などは象徴する建物を失っても消えることはないのでしょうね。

However, intangible things, such as thoughts, prayers, wishes, worship, etc, will not diminish even if they lose their symbolic buildings.
