リビー・ホルマンという歌手はちょっと変わってる。インターネットで見てみると、なるほど、ということが多々あるようです。
この歌は、ベットミドラーも歌っていて、米国の多くの人に知られたスタンダードです。
歌う人により、歌詞も少しづつ違うなどして、というか、歌う人が、自分なりに歌ってしまうということでしょうか、昔のジャズ歌にはよくあることですが、その中でも、ずいぶん、いろんな、歌詞違いバージョンのある歌です。
リビー・ホルマンの、YouTubeの歌では、最終節の「Was I gay, til today」を劇のセリフっぽく歌いこなしているところが、おかしいですね。
訳詩の「ローディ」は、そのまま歌ってしまっていいかなと思います。
