My friend from Kagoshima鹿児島の親友

Living in Japan for a long time, I’ve never been to Southern Kyushu.
One of my best friends in my junior high school days was from Kagoshima. After graduating from the school, he went back there.
I went to see him off at Osaka station.
In those days, it seemed like going to a foreign country.
Since then, I’ve thought of visiting there some day but I still have no chance. I have no news from the friend after he had gone to Tokyo.
Whenever I hear of the name of Kagoshima, it reminds me of him.

歳をとってくると昔のことや友人のことをよく思い出します。
中学のとき鹿児島から来た転校生の親友がいました。クラブが同じで彼の家に行って宿題をしたり、彼の兄さんの引っ越しを手伝ったりしましたが、中学の後、彼は鹿児島に帰った。大阪駅まで送ったが汽車のデッキから身を乗り出して手を振る姿が印象的でした。

皆さんのなかで「汽車のデッキ」という言葉知ってる人いるかなあ。車両の前後の部分に乗降口があってドアはなかったのでそこから身を乗り出して見送りに来た人と別れを惜しんだものだった。昭和の映画の別れのシーンの定番でした。

きびしい寒さは

It’s very cold these days but the cold weather is not always bad as it is beneficial because those harmful creatures from the tropical area such as mosquitoes and bacterium can’t survive.
We should avoid going out suddenly from a warm room to cold place, which may cause stoke or heart attack.
きびしい寒さが続いています。暖かい室内から外出したり、外出して冷え切ったままで入浴したりは避けるようにしています。今までは人ごとのように感じていましたが身近な人も脳や心臓発作で亡くなっています。
でもきびしい寒さは最近の地球温暖化で北上してきた蚊や細菌など有害な生物を防いでくれます。

久しぶりの訪問、Visiting my sisters

Yesterday I visited my two elder sisters. It is good that both of them are fine there. Moreover as I live and work in a town area, I’m refreshed with the rich nature of the suburban area where they live. And this time, I was happy to have met my first sister’s son that is my nephew there.
As I stopped driving, I need to take a train to get to the place through Umeda area. I enjoyed walking around there.
昨日は久しぶりに北摂に住んでいる2人の姉を訪問しました。2人とも元気そうでよかった。その場所は緑豊かな自然環境に恵まれたところなので市街地に住んでいる身にとってたまに行くと癒されます。 それに私の上の姉の息子である私の甥にも会えてよかった。
帰りに梅田の街を少し歩いて楽しみました。梅田は学生時代のバイトのなど懐かしい場所です。
