アルバムに『Don't Try So Hard』は収められている。
この作品は1989年3月から1990年11月の間に
ロンドンのメトロポリス・スタジオ
モントルーのマウンテン・スタジオで録音された。
イントロ『rain』はkorgM1のプリセットサウンド
Don’ｔ Try So Hard
ジョン・ディーコンが書いたものと言われてきたが、
娘Bは、「実はフレディが書いた曲です」と断言した。
生前、クイーンズエイドのエンジニア兼共同プロデューサーの
デヴィッド・リチャーズがそれを認めている。
フレディは特定の人物を念頭に置いて、この曲を書いた。
彼にとってとても大切な特定の人のために、この曲は
永遠に刻まれる最後のメッセージであり、この曲に
込められtメッセージは、本当に「心配するな」という
ことだった。
「小さなことにこだわらず、今日一日を生きろ」ということ。
フレディが残された者に、少しばかりの励ましを与えてくれた。
