金子薫園は明治期から昭和期にかけての歌人。都会生まれの平淡な温雅さを滲ませた詠風で、時流に変化を見せながらも和歌の普及に貢献。幕末の歌人・井上文雄の洒脱な江戸前の歌風に憧れ、生涯を和服で通し夜の銀座を愛すなど、神田生まれらしい古風なダンディズムを貫いた。〈ウイキペディア〉

In the valley where the light doesn't reach,spring does not come.I have no worries that the bloomed flowers will soon fall.
「谷深み」、「光なき谷」は、意味深長。菅原道真は、理由なく大宰府に左遷されたわが身を「谷深み」と表現。清原深養父は、中下流貴族のポジションを「光なき谷」と表現。
