今日の日経新聞に「人道回廊」という言葉が出てきた。
「人道回廊」
人道回廊とは、戦闘で孤立した地域から民間人を安全な場所に退避させたり、医療品や食料などの支援物資を運びこんだりするためのルートを言う。紛争の当事者が戦闘の一時停止などで合意し、軍事攻撃を受けない安全な経路などを設定する。国連や第三者が仲介に入ることも多い。
2023年パレスチナ・イスラエル戦争では、ガザ地区住民の退避、物資運搬の確保を目的に国際連合機関が人道回廊の設置を要請した。ハマスによる対イスラエル攻撃開始から4日が経過した10月11日には、ブリンケン米国務長官が記者団に対し、ハマスが支配するパレスチナ・ガザ地区から民間人を退避させるための人道回廊設置について、イスラエルやエジプトと協議していると明らかにしている。

"Humanitarian Corridor"
Humanitarian corridors are the routes for evacuating civilians from areas isolated by fighting to safety and for bringing in medical supplies, food, and other relief supplies. The parties to the conflict agree to suspend the fighting and establish a safe route that will not be subject to military attack. In many cases, the United Nations and third parties mediate.
During the 2023 Palestinian-Israeli War, United Nations agencies requested the establishment of humanitarian corridors to evacuate Gaza residents and ensure the transportation of goods. On October 11, four days after Hamas' attack on Israel began, U.S. Secretary of State Blinken told reporters that he was in talks with Israel and Egypt about establishing a humanitarian corridor to evacuate civilians from Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.
