「プロジェクト」という言葉は名詞で「計画・企画」の意味で広く使われてるが、動詞で「（事業などを）計画する、考案する」という意味だけでなく、異なった意味で使われることがある。英英辞典では後のほうに記載されている。

4), 5)の使用例は見たことが無い。6）は「プロジェクター」（”projector”）という道具からも想像できる。7)は実は工業の世界でよく使われる意味である。7)の場合の名詞は”projection”で「突起物・突出物」意味で使われる。
