At HSBC Vietnam, we’re committed to adhering to Vietnam regulations and ensuring a seamless banking experience for our customers, and to continue to support your banking experience we’re required to collect your biometric information.
Why do you need to register?
In accordance with Circular 17/2024/TT-NHNN, and Circular 18/2024/TT-NHNN from State Bank of Vietnam (“The Regulations”), biometric data must be collected in person through a face-to-face meeting.
What to do next?
Please visit your nearest HSBC Vietnam Branch/Transaction Office (T.O) with your original passport. Our friendly staff will assist you with the biometric registration process quickly and easily.
Please note that even if you have already provided your information via Mobile Banking, you are still required to complete the in-person registration at one of our Branches.
What if you don't register?
If biometric registration is not completed, certain banking services such as payment transactions, cash withdrawals from your accounts and/or credit/debit card transactions will be temporarily suspended as per the regulations.
