「ロールモデルハック」という本を読んだ。
I read a book called ``Role Model Hack.''
この本は成果を出すためには人と違うことをすることが大切だということ教えてくれている。
This book teaches us that it is important to do things differently from others in order to achieve results.
成果を出したいのであれば、私たちの知っている「教科書」以外のことをしなければならない。
If you want to achieve results, you have to do something other than what we know from "textbooks."
自分で近道を探さないといけないわけだが、これはなかなか難しい。
You have to find a shortcut yourself, but this is quite difficult.
そこで、著者はは自分のやりたいことをやっている人(ロードモデル)を見つけて真似をすることを推奨している。
Therefore, the author recommends finding someone who is doing what you want to do (a road model) and imitating them.
例えば、プレゼンを頼まれたときに、ゼロから資料を作ると時間がかかる。
For example, when you are asked to give a presentation, it takes time to create materials from scratch.
無駄なことに努力と時間を費やしている。
You're wasting your time and effort on useless things.
前回の資料やテンプレを見て、そこに自分のアイディアを加えるとより良いものができる。
If you look at the previous materials and templates and add your own ideas to them, you can create something even better.
大事なことh、徹底的に近道を見つけることだ。
The important thing is to thoroughly find shortcuts.

ロールモデルを真似するときのポイントを4つ紹介する。
Here are four points to keep in mind when imitating your role models.
①「素直さ」
①“Honestness”
まわりの意見を受け入れて環境に柔軟に対応することが大切だ。
It is important to accept the opinions of those around you and respond flexibly to the environment.
自分だけでは良いアイディアなんか浮かばないと考えて周りの意見を聞こう。
Consider that you cannot come up with good ideas on your own, so listen to the opinions of those around you.
②「苦手を克服しない」
“Don’t overcome your weaknesses”
無理に伸ばそうと努力するのはやめよう。
Stop trying to force yourself to stretch.
苦手を克服して人並みになっても、圧倒的な結果を残せない。
Even if you overcome your weaknesses and become as good as others, you won't be able to achieve overwhelming results.
③言われたら「すぐやる」
When asked, “I’ll do it right away.”
まずやってみることが大事だ。
It is important to try it first.
もう少し勉強してから、、、。
After studying a little more...
今は忙しいから無理、、、。
I'm busy right now so I can't...
こんな人はずっとしない。
People like this don't do this all the time.
考えてから走るのではなく、走りながら考えよう。
Instead of thinking before running, think while running.
④やったら「すぐ報告」
“Report immediately” if you do it
アドバイスを聞いて実践したら、その人にすぐ伝えよう。
Once you have listened to the advice and put it into practice, tell the person right away.
アドバイスを実践してくれたんだあなたのことをさらに真剣に考えてくれるはずだ。
Now that you've put my advice into practice, I'm sure they'll take you even more seriously.
この本を読んで改めて思った事は、
After reading this book, I thought again:
自分だけでは変わらないということ。
That you can't change by yourself.
人の意見にしっかりを耳を傾けること。
Listen carefully to other people's opinions.
できないことに苦しまないこと。
Don't worry about what you can't do.
これらが大切だと思った。
I thought these were important.
私も2年前にある人をロールモデルにして、その人の行動を真似することで生活が変わった。
Two years ago, I also had someone as a role model, and my life changed by imitating that person's actions.
今やりたいことをすることができている。
I can do what I want now.
より良いロールモデルを見つけてアップデートしていきたい。
I want to find better role models and update them.
