韓国ぶらり旅 宗廟編 trip to Korea cyongmyo

今回は韓国２日目です

(it's the second day of their trip to Korea.)

ホテル１４階だから眺めいいねえ～
(the view from our 14th floor hotel room is nice!)

そして、荷造りをするとすぐに出かけたようです

(and after they got ready, they went out for sightseeing.)

おお！地下鉄の駅キレイだね～

(oh! the subway station is nice and clean!)

日本の地下鉄よりぐっと安いし便利！

(it's much cheaper than the subways in Japan!)

そして、１５分ほど地下鉄に乗って、宗廟に行ったようです

(and after 15 minutes ride on the subway, they got to cyongmyo.)

ここは朝鮮王朝歴代の王と王妃、そして没後に位を贈られた王と王妃の

神位が安置されている王室の霊廟らしいのじゃ。

(Chongmyo Shrine was built to hold the ancenstral tablets for the kings of the chosun Dynasty.)

おお！屋根の装飾が素敵じゃのう

(wow! the decorations on the roof is amazing!)

ここは宗廟に到着した王が体を休めるために立ち寄った場所らしいのじゃ

(this is where the king took a rest after he arrived at chongmyo.)

それにしても、色んな国からの人が観光に来てるね

(lots of people around the world come to visit here!)

ここは祭祀の供え物を保管していた倉庫だって

(this was a storage where they kept the offerings for the ritual.)

ここでは王と皇太子が祭祀前日に身と心を清めた場所なんだって

(this is where the king and the prince clensed their body and soul before the ritual.)

当時が再現してあるね

(they have recreated what it used to look like!)

次はいよいよ正殿だよ

(next is finally the main temple!)

おお！これが入口かあ

(oh! this is the entrance!)

楽しみだな

(i wonder what it's like!)

大きい～！！！

(it's huge!!)

フックの様な装飾に何か特別な意味があるみたいじゃ。。

(there's something about the hooks....)

いや～！それにして広くてすばらしいのう！(wow!! it's so gigantic!)

これは単一の木造建築物としては世界最長総101mだそうじゃ！

(this is the world longest wooden architecture(101meters) in the world!)

こんな広くて立派な所だと自分がちっぽけに感じてしまうのう

(it makes me feel so small!)

おっさんの身長は１１．５ｃｍなのでどこへ行ってもちっぽけですよ～

(old man is only 11.5cm, so he should be feeling small whereever he goes!)
