Challenge! -アラフォーの挑戦-

I lost 4.5 kg and trained about two months, twice a week of on court and off court.


Well, it was pretty challenging to get myself back on the court while having full-time work

and three little kids but it all worked out good.


Now, my next "Challenge" would be heading to Senior ITF. Keep going!!



The tournement started yesterday and I played my first round this afternoon.


I made it to the second round!


1st round 6-1,6-2


Well, feeling like so accomplished and done alraedy....so tired and sore!!


Playing against a 14 year-old junior player tomorrow night.


I might need a half the bottle of Overdrive!

My first singles tournament in 15 years is just around the corner!! only a week to practice! Its an open tournament so my opponents are all teenagers who just walk in the court and bash the ball. well, me? need few hours to get ready! Hot shower to wake up my body, stretching, wrap up all my joints with supporters and then take energy boost & pain killers together...then finally get to walk in the court!!

大会まであと1週間!大好きなスタバのカフェラテをやめて、あともう1キロ減量目指す。

60キロで試合に臨みぞ!やっぱり軽いほうが練習してても全然楽なんだなぁ。

Week 12

It took three months to shed 3kg! and three weeks till the tournament.

It is arond the corner already!


Well, I am off to another holidays ni Cambodia tomorrow so maybe do some

jogging around Angkor Wat then.


3ヶ月でやっと3キロ減。亀さんなみのスローペース。


3キロ太るのなんて3日でできるのに・・・。


明日からカンボジア旅行なのだが、アンコールワットを早歩きで観光すれば毎度の旅行太りは回避できるかなぁ。

It was almost three years ago when I played two sets of singles game last time.


Very happy that I was physically able to play two sets today.


thanks to my magic pills, Overdrive! This really works for me!


timing is everything when you take Overdrive. I usually take 45-60 minutes prior

to exercise. it seems to kick in once your body gets going and perspiration starts.

3年ぶりのシングルス。友人と2セットプレーしたのだが、最後までガス欠になることなくできた。


オーバードライブ、恐るべし。ちなみに友人にも勧めたところ、2セット目からエネルギーを感じたという。


オーバードライブはタイミングが非常に大切で、エクササイズの45分から1時間前に服用するのがベスト。


大会まであと3週間かぁ。もっと練習試合ができたらなぁ。

Phew!! my heart started pounding when got up on the scale but only little back on from my 10 days of anarchic living in NZ!

wow...I am ever impressed with the unexpected few gain.

Ok, just got back from Meijiya and got my favorites...

Tofu, Natto, udon noodles, and Ume dressing!

No more potatoes and fries for little while.

この10日間、

目に付くものを片っ端らから口に入れていた生活で

大惨事になっていると思いきや、

たった500gしか増えてなかった!

木枯らしの吹く中、

せっせと走ったおかげか。一安心。

実は、来星3年目にして明治屋に夢中になっている。

これまで、行くことがなかったLiang Courtがこんなに素敵なところだったとは!

お好み焼き、ラーメン、なんでもござれ。

本日は、大会までの4週間で4キロ減量を達成するため、私の大好きな豆腐、納豆、うどんを購入。

料理ができないので、煮て、かけて、食べれるものを頭で想像してショッピング。

来週からはサンワさんでトレーニング開始。(ケガしないように)がんばるぞ!

Rainy, windy winter in NZ雨雨雨

when the moment comes 晴れ, I get myself ready for a run then open the door then
"forget it.."


It is just too cold!


Also, stupid of me that I left my magic pills, "Overdrive" in Singapore...Using that
as excuse, I have been such a torpor here...


I don't know because of the coldness... my body's trying to generate heat so my
tummy constantly needs energy? well explanation, i guess. i have been so hungry
for sweets!

とにかく寒い。

大雨、暴風、波浪注意報。そんな冬のNZ北島。

なんとかランニングにでも行こうと気軽のだが、ドアが開けた瞬間に、

さむっ・・

開けた倍のスピードで閉めてストーブに直行しておしまい。早くシンガポールのミストサウナに戻りたい・・・。

さらには、オーバードライブを忘れるという大失態。旦那に「今すぐにオーバードライブをNZに送って頂戴」と頼んだけど、1週間かかるといわれ断念。

近くの薬局でそれらしきものを買って、オーバードライブと思い込んで飲んでるけどやっぱり力がわいてこない・・・。

さて、本日Keri Keriにドライブ。アートの町なんだそう。楽しみ、楽しみ。
We are in winter NZ and had a wretched rainy day yesterday
but welcomed beautiful sunny day today!
My son looked radiant with his first tennis lesson in NZ.
He did some drills with a couch from Whangarei named Peter and had a blast
on the court.

I did some on-court agility training but seriously, when I did some quick
movements, my knees squeaked!

I tried some footwork drills that I used to do and it was just suicidal!
My quads got tight in the first 20 seconds and felt like having bricks
wrapped around my legs! well, better take it easy so did some sidesteps
instead.

冬のNZ。昨日は雨は降るし、木枯らしは吹くし、ボイラーが壊れてお風呂にも入れず。

でも今日はまさに違う国にいるよう!青空がひろがり息子がテニスレッスン。

まだ7歳なのでとにかく今はテニス、それから他のスポーツを思いっきり楽しんでほしい。
