基地建設に反対する抗議運動
韓国の活動家が、2週間前、韓国南部の済州島で集会を開き
アメリカ軍の配備に利用されると言われている
この島での海軍基地の建設に抗議しました。
これを受け、フィリピンの活動家は
26日月曜、マニラに集結し、この基地の建設に対する韓国の活動家の抗議を支持し
韓国からのアメリカ軍基地の撤収を求めました。
潜水艦など、軍艦20隻の収容が可能なこの基地の建設プロジェクトは
2014年までに完成する予定です。
こうした中、韓国の軍事当局は
9億7000万ドルの費用をかけたこの基地の建設は
国家の安全保障にとって欠かせない重要なものだとしています。

マニラ首都圏もシグナル2が発令された。
午後4時の速報によると
台風はオーロラ州カシグランの東260キロに位置し
北西に向かって19キロの速さで進んでいる。
