フィリピンのSM Retai, Inc社との共同出資により、
ィリピンに合弁会社を設立し、ユニクロ事業を展開するという。
今回、共同出資したSM Retail社は
フィリピン小売業におけるリーディングカンパニーであり
衣料業界にて50年の歴史を誇る。
フィリピン全土の百貨店、スーパーマーケット、ハイパーマーケットに対し
幅広く事業展開している。
また、特定の市場を対象とした専門店チェーンも手がけ
家具、おもちゃ、DIY業態、パーソナルケア業態
家電専業店などを運営している。
ファーストリテイリングは
今年6月に台北、9月にはタイ
10月には米ニューヨークに2店舗をオープンした。
また国内でも、8月に1,000坪超の池袋店のリニューアルオープン
来年には銀座に1,000坪超の出店を予定するなど
積極的な店舗展開を進めている。

15日、長さ3メートル重さ20キロのニシキヘビが捕獲された。
ターミナル2と3を結ぶアクセス路で捕獲したという。
ニノイ・アキノ国際空港でニシキヘビが捕獲されたのは
昨年から数えて、今回が3度目です。

面会者の少ない受刑者の孤独を和らげようと
マニラ首都圏ケソン市の刑務所で先週から
インターネット電話「スカイプ」を使った面会を始めた。
スカイプによる面会は
受刑者に５分間、親族らとの会話を許可する。
刑務所管理局の職員らが立ち会い、イヤホンは使用できない。
刑務所の所長によれば
刑務所には現在約３,０００人の受刑者が収監されているが
うち約７００人は面会者が途絶えている。
所長は
「ネットを通じた面会は、受刑者の気分の落ち込みを和らげるだろう」という。

亀田興毅
ＷＢＡ世界バンタム級王者・亀田興毅（２４）が
１５日、キャンプの候補地視察のため、兵庫県の淡路島を訪れた。
淡路島を選んだのは
親交のあるお笑い芸人、たむけんこと、たむらけんじさんの推薦があったからで
たむけんは、「淡路島町おこしゼネラルマネジャー」を
自称しているのだという。
宿舎や練習施設などを見て回った興毅は
「ええとこや。走れるし、海もあるし、温泉もある」と気に入った様子。
１２月７日（大阪府立体育会館）に３度目の防衛戦を行うが
「今回はフィリピン合宿に行くから時間ないけど
次の次の防衛戦の前に使わせてもらう」と即決した。
さらに「淡路島でも（興行を）やりたいと話し。
公園にリングとかサンドバッグをつるして遊べる
亀田パークみたいなもんもできんかな」とユニークなプランも披露していた。
